Morning, i have a de-stash group on facebook if anyone would like to take a look, join, purchase or add anything please feel free to pop along, there is quite a few items including, fabric, buttons, pin cushions, tote bags, some jewellery but not much, everyone welcome,.please note if you join it is for de-stash items only thanks.

Jacqueline, do you have a particular reason for avoiding FB? It would be fab if you did join, you know I’d be among the first to ‘like’ your page!
I have thought about it, but I spend so much time computing and not enough time creating as it is at the moment. Plus, I am trying to avoid some people from my past who are a little unsavoury. I am a complete technophobe to boot.
Is it easy to join and can you be a member without certain people knowing? - could be hard if I want everyone to see my work. (Have I answered my own question here?)

Jaqueline, I’m a technophobe , too, and I only joined FB a couple of months ago, but I have had some sales from there so it was worth it. I don’t post anything on my personal page as I just don’t get FB for personal use but I keep my business page up to day and only spend around 20-30 minutes a day on there, so not too bad, really.
You should give it a go - you can always cancel it if it doesn’t work for you.

PS. Sorry, don’t know about blocking people etc., but I’m sure someone else can fill you in on that bit.
It’s easy to block people. I had to do that to a colleague who got a bit too attentive!
Jacqueline you could also set up up as a business only page no need to add a photograph then either or any personal details, you have to provide some to set up an account but you can hide everything from public view
Fab group Jax, hqve just requested to join, I have just added a lot of de-stash to a new section in my shop would it be okay to add a link from folksy for destash?
Jacqueline you can select the view now, public, family, friends etc, and it is easy to block people.
Maxine thank you and your added, would prefer no links to other places in there hun, i’ve not added my own otherwise it just becomes another selling group, hope you don’t mind.
Just create an album and pop your destash in it with a few details and your prices, i will also share things tonight to help get things seen

Go into your setting Jacqueline and block who ever it is you don’t want to see your posts, you can add your friends and such now without the (offending person seeing) lol
You are now added to the de-stash

How do you make your facebook page a business only page? I am going to need a lot of time on the site to try and work it out.

I’ve made you an Album Jacqueline, you can just post all your destash in there, helps you keep track of it, add as much as you like.
Facebook, you need to start a business page i’m not sure but i think the option is on your left hand side. it will take you through a couple of steps, then you choose your business name, it’s really easy, honest
I’ve already got an album on Jax group. This is a great way to sell all your surplus crafty bits.

I have added some more photos into the album - I think. If I have done it wrong, please let me know and I will delete them if I can and try again. I wasn’t sure if I could add details of prices etc so I didn’t on the new pics.
Can’t see any way of changing to a business page. Will have to spend more time on this.
