All loved , but no listing from me today.
A friend is house sitting for a couple of weeks in Dartington, South Devon about 1 and a half hours away, persuaded my oh to drive me down to see her , pop in on a gallery I sell through, on the way, trawl Totnes in horrendous volumes of people and walk all over the Dartington estate.. lovely day out. We had almost made it home when friend messaged “ had we seen her car keys on the table”, and omg I had scooped them up as mine… so we had to turn round and drive back. Finally home, and I’m in the dog house!
He was going to take me to restock another gallery in the morning, think he might be having second thoughts!
@dotterypottery Sarah, your day puts mine into perspective, hope you have a peaceful Sunday. X
It was meant to be Donna @underneaththeeaves ….well done on your sale Now added to the tally (10 thus far). Happy Swing Dancing with you and lots of best wishes for your Grandad
Thanks @samazama It all went smoothly and there were 20 connections around the globe joining the wedding.
We’ll probably find our husbands are friends on that church tech Facebook group!
Just one little clock of joy lots of little details? gilt on the hands. I must of been on another planet doing that? @dotterypottery Sarah, hope you caught up on your sleep, sounds like a tough few days. Look after yourself, and your mother.
Take care Charlie and Barbara.
Hope your Grandads arm isn’t too bad Donna @underneaththeeaves and he’s okay x
That’s a great looking haul Amanda @OakLeafCrafting should keep you busy a while
Good grief Sarah @dotterypottery what a time you are having, sending hugs and hope the extra work isn’t too stressful xx
Hope you had a more restful day Jacqueline @JAustenJewelleryDesign
Oh dear Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery what a nightmare! hope you are soon out of the doghouse x
Up to our eyes in decorating, I had only planned a spruce up and took a couple of days off work hoping it would only take a few weekends. But OH has got involved and it’s taking soooo much longer than I planned between filling and sanding. Still the ceiling is done, just finish smoothing the walls and then the rest of the painting, then new carpet and furniture to order and assemble. Might be done by Christmas . Hope you all have a nice day x
The party was wonderful, catching up on so many friends. There was music all afternoon and evening as he’s a performer and musician he had plenty of people to help perform live music in the background. Not a phone in sight, everyone was just catching up. His sister has come out of retirement to do my daughters wedding photography and she was there. Its nice to have someone we know to do the photography for her wedding in two! weeks time.
We left to go to the private veiw, I was bitterly disappointed. My work was basically on the floor with no lighting. No-one is going to see it down there. Last year they had some really nice display cabinets and although it is in a glass cabinet it doesn’t look good.
Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery what a journey! I hope you’re out of the doghouse soon.
Sarah @dotterypottery what a nightmare of a time you’re having at the moment. I hope things will settle down for you soon.
Morning all. I think there will be a lot of tired people at our church service this morning, following yesterday’s wedding. It was a lovely but long day.
This afternoon we’re off to an open garden being held by an old friend. He and his wife do this to raise money for the local hospice. There will be tea and cake as well as plants and honey for sale - a perfect combination.
A water bottle carrier from me today.
morning all…the street party was just FAB and I stuffed my face with burgers, sausages and Lemon meringue pie !!..Such lovely neighbours…all of them…there were over 40 people there having fun.
Goodness…a lot to read and catch up on but hugs to those going through problems and well done to those with sales.
today another larger painting.
.
Good morning.
Seems like we’re all busy bees at the moment.
Not surprised your blood pressure was high Sarah @dotterypottery with all you have got going on at the moment.
Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery - my friend did similar to me recently. Luckily I had another set of keys so was able to wait a few weeks until I saw her again.
I spent much of yesterday helping my neighbour. She is moving her horse from a yard about 10 miles away to one closer to home. She only has a mini so I offered to use my car to transport all her bits and pieces in preparation. Was gobsmacked at the number of rugs she had - her horse has a more extensive wardrobe than me!! Anyway, her horse is being moved today and there are a few more bits to move so will be helping her again later - first though, I have a shift at the gallery.
Sending you my best Sarah @dotterypottery …you are certainly having a rough old time of it
I’m sorry reading about your exhibition Sue @SueTrevor ….how disappointing. I was visiting an exhibition in Perth yesterday. I felt for one of the exhibitors as her work was tucked away at the back with a tiny sign pointing in that direction saying ‘exhibition continues this way’. I’m sure many people will miss it and the spot was so very dark.
I’m chuffed you enjoyed your tea party Brenda. @teabreaks. It sounds lovely
I am having another road trip today to drop off some of my own artworks to various places on the east coast. I will be back late afternoon to catch up with the news, sales and listings. Wishing you all well
This made me smile! I read the bit about your neighbour wanting to move her horse … but had only got a mini, and had this picture in my mind of someone trying to get a horse into a mini! As I read on, it became clear the horse would go separately and the car was only for moving the accessories.
Good morning everyone well goodness me I don’t appear here for one day and you all go mad. What a lot happening with horses, parties, mother, blood pressure etc etc.
Glad the parties were great Brenda @teabreaks and Sue @SueTrevor
Hope the horse settles in to his new home OK Roz @OrchardFelts
Hope your mum settles down soon Sarah @dotterypottery and that your husband’s work goes as well as can be expected.
Hope you are out of the dog house soon Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery
Your poor Granddad is not having a great time at the moment Donna @underneaththeeaves I hope he recovers soon and is back to his usual self.
Great haul of pretties Amanda @OakLeafCrafting I can a lot of pretty jewellery there waiting to escape.
Sorry I missed yesterday but I just couldn’t summon the get up and go to do anything useful.
Today is a 3 strand pink and cream pearl jewellery set
I am SO SO excited! My son has just videophoned us to say he and his girlfriend have got engaged! She is lovely. They have been an item for about 8 years, living together for about 4, we were beginning to give up hope of a wedding. We are seeing them tomorrow, we thought just for a meal to celebrate his birthday last Fri, but will be to celebrate a lot more.
Just a repeat from me today - this bag has been on a challenge thread before but has the least hearts
Morning,
Just a quick one to say congrats to all with sales and good health wishes to everyone who needs them. I’m struggling to keep up with everything whilst being away .
Have a lovely Sunday
