Afternoon all.
Sorry to hear about your grandad Donna @underneaththeeaves I hope he is on the mend soon.
Started off sunny here but now it’s overcast and looks like it might rain. Not going out today, the roads are a nightmare. First weekend of the school holidays and I think everyone is trying to get to the Port to go on holiday! It’s always the same, total mayhem!

Just got back from the Rock, Gem, and Bead Show at Kempton Park Racecourse. Spent most of the time Oohing over pretty crystals we’d need a lottery win for, and beads I definitely couldn’t afford but would make such pretty things with :joy:. I did attack the £2 a string hematite rail though, and I picked up some little crystal bits for jewellery and for the window things I’m working on. I got some opalite chip, some glass beads, and two little pieces of opalite and a small piece of labradorite for me to have a go at wire wrapping. Pretty good haul for the amount I spent.

An old listing again from me today because after all the walking, browsing, and buying, I need a nice long nap.

Afternoon All,

I’ve been dipping in and out all day with the loving and pinning and am now all caught up.
Donna @underneaththeeaves I hope your Grandad gets better soon, especially after taking a tumble too. Very careless of them at the hospital. Sending him big get well hugs :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Have an amazing time, Brenda @teabreaks I hope there’s plenty of cake :cupcake: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::cupcake:
Amanda @OakLeafCrafting Sounds like you had a good day at the rock and gem show. I always feel it’s a huge win if you get some good things, but don’t spend a king’s ransom :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Hang in there, Sarah @sarahsouthworth your work is gorgeous, but summer is a quiet time anyway and your first sale will definitely come :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Have a lovely evening, everyone :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Not the best photo because it was just on my phone to show my friend what I got, but this was today’s haul. I spent about £40 in total, but £7 of that was on 3" headpins. The hematite discs (my husband thinks look like shiny minstrels) were marked at £15.50 per strand, but they were on the £2 a strand sale rail.

Went to the gym this AM for a dancefit class – came home and promptly fell asleep as I was super tired …

Got up, prepped the bases for about 10 pairs of more wheelchair handle accessories, and then made 2 more dragon’s tails and 1 flogger, those last 3 from a gorgeous purple suede.

I have chosen to not list them yet, as I am selling at an Alternative Market next Sunday (3 August) in Woking, so I have hopes they will sell there. And if not, then I’ll list them up.

So, here is my listing for today – a lovely pair of bracers that are fab for certain cosplays and/or can even be used as an armguard for archery …

Evening everyone - I’m going to save my listing until tomorrow now as it’s been a hectic day again here!
Yesterday just as I was about to go to the doctors for my annual health check, I got a message from the carer to say Mum was going to be admitted to hospital because she couldn’t breathe! Mum was adamant that she didn’t want to go.
Anyway, I was trying to deal with that as I went in for my health check and when they took my blood pressure it was this highest I have ever seen it 169/104. The nurse tried 3 times but I couldn’t get it to go down - so now I’ve got to do a diary for a week again!
I then drove straight to Mums where she had decided to go to the hospital as long as they let her home that night. (They didn’t!)
Then today - Mr DP took on a silly big job for the weekend and massively undercharged, so I decided to go along and help him do it as he’s getting too old to be working 7 days a week on his own. We have had to sand down, refill and prepare 13 window sills and framing, 2 sets of french doors, a porch and a garage door and window ready to be re-painted (also by Mr DP) He quoted 2 days to get it all done including the painting- crazy idiot! I got bitten by a horse fly and my arms are aching like nobody’s business from all the sanding and filling!
In between, I was co-ordinating getting my Mum home from hospital, making sure the carer understood how to use the nebuliser that I luckily ordered from Amazon last night and got delivered to Mum’s (they wouldn’t her out today unless she had one at home! - it’s like I knew …lol!) Mum has already started with her “I can’t go on!” routine because she had to stay in hospital for one night!
The lady at the house today was so lovely though - her husband died of dementia last November and now she lives on her own. She fed and watered us all day, so that was really kind of her. She had a great view from her house of horses in a field. It was in The New Forest, so quite a challenge for me too stay there but I did it!

I wish I had been at Brenda’s @teabreaks street party though! - Hope you had a good time Brenda..tell us about the cakes!

Hello everyone. I am absolultely shattered today. I have been doing some heavy gardening with my husband all day, with small breaks to have a drink and make the family tea etc. I really struggle with fatigue if I over do things so I think I will be in trouble tomorrow - oops.

I have a ring for you today with a pretty purple amethyst x
