Sending virtual hugs to both you and your hubby Shirley @pirateswag , I hope things turn round for you soon x
Yes Judy @judyrowleyart , I usually send it out when I drop the item at the post office, to thank them for their order. I include their tracking number with info of which service I used and I also attach the invoice (I do not print it out as it will probably go straight in the bin). If it is a made to order item, then I send an email with info of the process, and a picture, so they know I am working on it and they know what to expect.
Spending far too much time sitting in the garden doing nothing!! Bit cooler today but still very pleasant. Holly is sleeping by my side and the dog I am looking after is aimlessly wandering around the garden - sheâs not in a good way
Nothing new to show at the moment so it is a relist from me
My goodness, Shirley @pirateswag , what an awful time youâve been having. Big virtual hugs. X
Housework, Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio ? Whatâs that? Itâs the last thing I do in hot weather! Iâm melting. Itâs British hot weather I canât stand. Itâs the humidity that accompanies it. My father, who was Russian, used to say he was never as hot or as cold in Russia as he was in England, although their extremes are much greater than ours.
Another new listing, though Iâll be shutting up shop tonight for a day. Weâre craft fairing tomorrow. Mouse T for a baby
Sorry to hear that you are still suffering Max @MaxPringJewellery and Caroline @Caroleecrafts - hope things take a better turn this weekend xx
Your holiday experience sounds terrible Shirley @pirateswag - Iâm so sorry for your loss xxx
For anyone that wants to know about doing a shop drop, I will make a detailed thread this Weekend and explain it all. Caroline @Caroleecrafts has given the general rundown.
Also, itâs my birthday this weekend, so Iâll be off camping to celebrate a little
That means I might not be able to list or like everyoneâs lovely new items straight away, but I promise Iâll catch up and show some love as soon as I can!
Shirley @pirateswag sorry to hear about difficult and sad times.
End of the week hugs for all, hope the poorly folk are on the mend.
So after all my photography trials and fails I ordered some back boards and think this is what I needed. It means I can use the natural light on my workroom balcony but still get some clean shots. I have had my first go today reshooting my felted motif pictures (not perfect but much better) and will work through the rest of my items in the coming days.
I have to take advantage of the fact that Claire is out doing her mumâs shopping to do the housework. I have tried doing it when she is home but it nearly causes an argument. So better to do it when I know I can complete it without having to start over multiple times.
I meant to say that I had a very weird experience in the night.
I was so hot and couldnât get to sleep. Had two fans on. In the end I tried sleeping down the bottom of the bed with my feet up the other end. I had propped a fan between the edge of the bed and my laptop so it was blowing directly on my feet.
Anyway after a while - I had this feeling come over me that I was being electrocuted. I could hear a loud buzzing noise and could feel my body shaking violently. I wasnât sure if I was asleep or awake as I couldnât open my eyes but I didnât know if that was because I was near death because of the electrocution. All the while my body was just shaking all over.
I knew I had to open my eyes and try to move myself away from the fan before I died.
I couldnât move for what seems minutes but I expect it was only seconds.
Eventually, I jumped up and I was nowhere near the fan, everything was OK.
I felt in a state of shock afterwards and spoke to my Son (who was still awake) and he googled what had happened. It sounds like it was sleep paralysis (which Iâve had before but it didnât involve shaking) I didnât know it could be brought on by over heating!
I went downstairs and slept a bit in the end but I never want to feel that againâŠit was scary!
Oh Sarah, I had similar experiences in the past, it is not nice at all, in fact quite scary. I didnât have the feeling of being electrocuted, mine was like my body was being pulled down and I could feel leaving it and going upwards, I could feel myself lifting as I was dropping off, I knew what was coming. Was thinking that I needed to wake up, trying unsuccessfully to open my eyes, and even scream to my ex husband to pull me down. Of course, I never screamed, and I was never floating in the air or anything like it. I can totally understand how you felt. The strange thing with me is that I never had something like that, it appeared about a year before the end of my first marriage while living in that house, and it stopped as soon as we split up and left. So I am wondering if along with the heat, there is something that puts you under enormous stress at the moment and your body just tries to cope x
