Just trying something Testing

Just using a photo of my one of my cars being tested on the rolling road for bhp.

now removing the image as test was positive.

Ok test works you can use your photobucket account to post a photo that’s not already on folksy ie not a listing photo

I’ve heard there are security issues with posting your numberplate onlne - no idea why - but you might want to pull it.

It’s not the numberplate it’s the fact my cars on the internet and so is my location. But then that information has been available on the internet for a number of years.

When google maps went live in every new area stolen cars increased. Some smart artists came up with wait for the next area of the county to be google mapped then do a virtual walk along the streets looking for the type of car you wanted to steal. Compile your list of address go to the area and check those addresses to see if the car they wanted was still being parked at the address they’d got off google maps. If it was there steal it.

When they covered Milton Keynes my friends RX8 was stolen in this manner. The gang were caught and it all came out how they used google maps to target RX8 owners. They broke into her house while she slept to steal the keys, thankfully she didn’t wake up or goodness knows what they’d have done. So once they’d broken in got the keys they simply drove it off the driveway. It was the car starting up that woke my friend.

I was about to remove this one as I was only doing a test and then forgot it.

oh my goodness - whatever next!!

They fuzz out the number plates nowadays.

They do indeed fuzz them out now but it doesn’t really make any difference expect for those cars thieves who are looking for a certain year of a car.

We discuss the problem a lot on the car forums
