Got Messanger message earlier, say its from Folksy Forum, for chats regarding Photography talk/chats, it said “Tap to Join”, wondering if this is on the level, or a con.
If it’s on the level, well that’s okay, but I will not be joining, as I had problems with other groups using this chat messages, as you keep getting notifications, even if you have not said anything, keep getting notifications on every reply , even if its only a 
, keeps goi g on all night long 
In the other groups every member was included in the chat , without being asked, so when they first set it up, a lot of the members were repying, “Remove Me” so everyone was getting notifications for every reply

That sounds like a con/ spam of some sort. People can send you private messages through the forum but the notification of those would come through to your email not FB messenger and when I’ve received them they have had a persons name/ forum handle associated with them rather than a generic folksy forum.

This is not a spam, it’s through the Folksy Shop Group and as admin I allowed the chat set up although it’s not something we’ve set up before. I thought I’d give it a go to see how it works but if people are finding it annoying I won’t do it again - worth it for an experiment though!
