Has anyone else had a message from someone called “forevercreative”?
This person doesn’t appear to sell on Folksy and wanted to know if I was interested in working with them with their photography?
They might be quite genuine but didn’t give their name.
Of course, as a pensioner, working with someone else is NOT something that I would even think about, let alone afford.
I am not sure what they were even offering. The message just said that they had set up a photography business and were interested in working with artists and crafters.
I don’t THINK it is Spam or a Scam but just thought I would mention it on here just in case.
hi brenda, yes i’ve had the same message too. i’m pretty sure it’s genuine, just someone trying to drum up business for themselves. i’m not interested though as i do all my own product photography (and really enjoy it) …so it’s “thanks-but-no-thanks” to them, as far as i’m concerned. x
Yes - I’ve also had the message but I can’t see how it would work as I photograph and list as I make, one or two a day, and to get someone in to do it would mean having to wait until I had a batch of things to photograph. Nice idea but beyond my financial capacity I expect! I will battle on with my own photos.
Yep I’ve had the very same message they are touting for business which I believe is against Folksy rules.
I’m going to try to forward mine to admin.
thanks everyone…I didn’t report it but glad that Eileen will…always best to check these things out.
Hi all, I’ve now had 2 messages from “Forevercreative” and I have reported him to Admin.
Yes, I’ve heard from him today as well! I rather liked the photo from my shop that he picked out and was offended that he seemed to think it unsatisfactory! Won’t be doing any business there!
I had a couple of messages from him on Sunday. I didn’t report him, but deleted them straight away.
I just got one too, I would have real concerns as it was mentioned to just “post items off for photographing”. There have been other similar e-mails previously doing the rounds offering promotion and free website etc and they were genuine in that they had websites (I didn’t go through any links I just googled the name) but it’s not something Folksy would support, it may well be genuine but I’m not convinced.
I’ve just had a second one from him
Remember just because someone has set up a website doesn’t make them legit.
It’s been know for scammers to set up great looking website and get people to send them items and or money then fob you off then disappear with your goods and money.
TBH he’s now a nuisance as he should have not sent a me a second email.
