I shall be putting my shop into holiday mode later tonight until Monday morning. My entire stock will be coming with me on Sunday to my very first Christmas Fayre this year. I haven’t had a lot of time to make this year what with having weddings and holidays so I’m a bit short of stock and my shop seems to have come to a stand still, so that seems a bit daft having stock sat there doing nothing.
I usually do the same Pauline, but this weekend I’m only taking some of my stock with me, so I’ll ‘hide’ it instead and leave the rest on here in case anyone decides to visit my shop. All the silk scarves, notebook covers and most of the bags will be coming with me, but the cushions, cases, purses etc, and a few of the bags will still be available over the weekend.

Good luck with the show Pauline - although you could leave the shop open and then if you sell something on here that you have sold at the show, could you make another in the necessary time or would that be putting too much pressure on yourself!!??
I don’t often close my shop but I decided this time to because I have some orders to do that I got from facebook and another fair in a couple of weeks, so if anything was to sell from my folksy shop I wouldn’t get a lot of time to make another.

Hope the show went well Pauline - it was grotty weather here so I had a nice rare stay at home with the daughter day!! Made a nice change!
No it didn’t go well at all @Textiletreasure, but thank you for asking. It was a disaster from start to finish. I did sell one thing that was in my folksy shop though. I won’t be doing that one again. There were quite a few people coming through the door up until lunch time but from then onwards it went down hill. Never mind I have another one in a couple of weeks to hopefully pick me up. Shop is now out of holiday mode.
I’m sorry to hear that @PaulinesCrafts - how disheartening for you. I really wish I knew the secret to finding those really good craft fairs. On paper it would be such a great way to sell i.e. meeting people, chatting to them and selling stock! But there are so many reports of poor shows it is such a shame. As you say though, you have the next one to look forward to. All the best with that one.
