New on Folsky

I am relatively new on Folsky, but I have been making and selling my items successfully on other platforms for the last 7 years.
I decided to start selling on Folsky during the busiest, Christmas period. I am surprised that I haven’t had any sells so far.
What do I do wrong?

Welcome to Folksy.

I noticed on Facebook all the links go to Etsy. You need to let people know about your shop on Folksy.

Folksy is driven by promotion on social media sites. You have to plug away to get customers and can take a while for your first sale. I think mine took about 3 months.

Your Instagram link is not working, so may be worth checking that.

Thank you for the tips.

It might help to make your listings a little more specific. At the moment your listings for similar items all have the exact same title (bad for Folksy search) and exact same description (bad for Google search). You don’t mention anything about the design or colour, for example you have polar bear bunting, but don’t mention anywhere in the title, description or tags the words “polar bear” or that it’s dark blue. That means if someone was searching for “blue bunting” or “polar bear”, your item wouldn’t show in the results.

It might also help to add some measurements to your descriptions. I know you mention the length of bunting, but you don’t mention how long the triangles are, or exactly how mini the stockings are. There’s nothing to give an idea of how big the advent calendar is, or how big the pockets on it are to know exactly what will fit.

Your items look good, you just might need to tweak things a little to help people find them, as they can’t buy them if they can’t find them.

I clicked your IG link from my phone and it isn’t working. As others have said you need to drive traffic to your shop, let people know you are on Folksy and make sure you use best tags and titles to optimise your SEO.
