Just out of interest, if anyone has an answer, why do people follow an account (instagram or facebook page) and not bother liking or commenting on any of the photos? Also, how do people who follow so many accounts manage to look at, like and comment on all the photos shown in their feed? is it acceptable to ignore the accounts that you follow?

Some people follow an account hoping to get a follow back, if they are bothered about bumping up their numbers.
It is possible to ‘mute’ an account that you follow, so you don’t unfollow but don’t see new posts.
Generally I will only follow an account if I have seen a post and liked it, or it is another Folksy seller. Though in many ways it can be strange if someone random follows you and then likes a whole lot of your posts!
There are some artists I follow and I pretty much always like their posts, even if they’ve never liked one of mine… equally there are some followers of mine who like a lot of my posts but perhaps I don’t always like all of theirs. Swings and roundabouts
