Hi everyone. A new feature has gone live on Folksy this morning, which allows customers to shop by region. You can see on our Homepage and also on this link https://folksy.com/local-shops
At the moment, only sellers who have chosen to share their location appear in the list. Shops on holiday mode or which are empty won’t appear. If you DO want be included in the ‘Shop by Region’ section, go to your seller dashboard, then under ‘Shop Settings’ you’ll see ‘Shop Location’, click on that and choose whether to show your Town and County, or just Town or County.
We’re still fine-tuning this featured and we know that there are a few edge cases where the postcode puts sellers in one location whereas they should be in another. We’re investigating those as and when they come up (you can email us at support@folksy.co.uk if you think your shop is in the wrong place!).
We know it’s not perfect yet, so if you have any feedback, please do let us know.

This is nice. I like that you can click on the individual towns as well. I hope more sellers will include their location.

That’s great, thank you. Lots more Folksy sellers in my home town than I realised!

That’s a great idea but I think it’s a pity that the option is right down at the bottom of the page. A lot of visitors just wont scroll down that far.

It’s interesting to see other sellers in the same area - maybe I’ll do a ‘Devon Folksy Friday’!

Love this idea, nice to see other local sellers, and I even recognised someone who I didn’t know had a shop on Folksy who lives locally

Hi. This is a lovely idea. Will it take a while for my shop to appear in the list? I’ve just updated my Shop Setting, but it isn’t showing in Cambridgeshire yet. Many thanks, Helen

Hi Angela. It’s not necessarily going to stay at the bottom of the page - we’ll probably move it higher up the page when more sellers have listed their location.

It should show up soon, Helen.

Fantastic, looks great - excellent for those people who want to shop local or to find exhibitors for local events
But - Dyfed was abolished as a county in 1996 and split back into Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, can Folksy catch up please!

Hi Robert. Would you be able to email support@folksy.co.uk with the corrections so it’s all logged and we can update the datasheet?

I like this idea @folksycontent thank you and the team for thinking to add it.
Does this include a situation where the customer can chose to collect it from you or does it still need to include postage?
Pauline. x
