I found this forum through Pinterest. I have a very old singer 201K electric sewing machine that was made in 1936 and I started to experiment with different materials.and items. I settled on bags as I am really interested in getting away from using plastics in my everyday life.
I just listed my first item and must admit I was terrified. Lol.

I just had a look at your listing and would like to suggest some improvements. Tags need to be phrases that people might use in the search box and you’ve only got one and it is very specific - you should include some that are slightly less specific (but still relevant) eg denim bag, tote bag, heavy duty bag, blue bag, shopping bag, denim tote that way you’ll be found in more searches and hopefully get a buyer. There are some great articles on the folksy blog, well worth a read if you get a spare moment
Hello Claire, I love the Singer 201K, we had them at school, and I have one in my loft although I use a modern Singer for everyday.
Good luck with your shop. There’s always someone here on the forum who can help you out if you are stuck or need some tips. I’m looking forward to seeing your bags.
I also opened my Folksy store only a few days ago, so good to meet another fellow newbies. I know it’s likely to be a steep learning curve, but I don’t think we’re going to be on our own.
