Newbie here ✋

Hello, I have just joined Folksy.

I have only added one listing so far. Any tips on how to raise my profile or adding variants to a listing? I couldn’t see how to add different sizes to a listing :woman_shrugging:

welcome to Folksy…it is lovely here and lots of people willing to help you with anything you need to know. I saw that you were interested in the daily listing challenge and was going to bump it up the forums for you, but oddly, I cannot find it. I have contacted Natalie who is due to run the August challenge…and you can read on how to join in if you find the July challenge that is currently running…all the information is at the very start of the thread. You will make a lot of friends if you sign up for it…everyone is really nice.
Keep joining in on the forums, so that people get to know your name and keep listing…good luck x

Welcome. You do lovely artwork. It might be good to give people an in depth description of who that Goddess is, what she stands for, the history etc. If your colours have any special meaning. What this deity invokes, or inspires? People love a background story for mythology.

Welcome Siobhan! Wishing you every success here on Folksy. It seems we have a couple of things in common - I was also a Psychiatric Nurse (RMN) and I’m a Reiki Master. You asked about adding variations - I’m not an expert on this but when you do a listing you should see a button for ‘Add Variations’ - you can then set up drop down boxes for different sizes. There’s probably a blog about this on Folksy so best to check that out rather than take my word for it! Namaste xx

Thank you, I will change it up a bit. I could waffle on for ages about all the Goddesses and spirit guides I work with. I love a bit of witchy woo woo :raised_hands:

I will check your shop out.

Hi Carole… How fab we both have similar backgrounds. Personally I don’t feel it’s a big step from mental health nursing to Reiki. Only recently did I understand that I had been using intuitive healing with my nursing.

Looking forward to checking out your shop.

Thank you, I got your message. I am finding navigating the site quite difficult as it won’t let me log in on the App :see_no_evil:

Will add spiritual category, I always struggle to decide which one.

Thanks

Siobhan

LOL…I can’t help with Apps…I don’t have a smart phone…no idea about them x

Hi,

Thank you for the compliment. I am still trying to navigate the site. I will get some more details up later and add some more artwork

Hope you are enjoying the weekend

Thanks

Siobhan

Wecome to folksy. The more listings/products in your shop the better. ‘If you list it, they will come’

Thank you, I have just had my Etsy shop transferred over. So about to start listing more

You may find that you have to be much more pro-active re ‘social media’ on Folksy than Etsy! Etsy do a lot of the work for you in terms of getting customers but Folksy may be a better fit for what you are selling - it’s a swings and roundabouts situation - Folksy are a lovely community and great for advice and support but bear in mind they do have a smaller customer base than Etsy.

I was wondering about that. I had asked some friends and family of they would take a look at my shop. They said they had to sign up to favourite it.

I never really got anywhere with Etsy, so I don’t have too high expectations
