Newbie here!

Good morning. I’m new to Folksy and just wanted to say hello.
If anyone has time to pop and have a look at my shop, all advice welcome.

Hi Roo @roosslowliving and welcome to Folksy.

I’ve had a look round your shop and have a few suggestions which I hope are helpful. Firstly you have some lovely items in your shop and I love your philosophy of creating new things from old.

I would include a lot more information about your items such as the size, what it’s made from and how you made it, customers will want to know exactly what they’re buying. Your photos aren’t doing your items justice, try different backgrounds, including a white one, and angles to really show off your pieces and as you have a plus account use the 10 photos you have available if you can. I would also fill in the shop announcement section to give customers a bit more understanding of how things work in your shop.

Also get involved with the forums, you’ll find so much advice and loads of helpful friendly people to talk to.

I hope this is helpful and I’m sure others will also have other suggestions for you. Good luck with your shop!

Welcome to Folksy!

I would agree with Hilary, you definitely need more info in both your titles and description.
One of the best pieces of advice I have read on here is to write your descriptions assuming the person reading them is blind and can’t see your photos (in some cases this might be true), so you include all the information they are likely to need - sizes/colours etc..
Your junk journal for example (which is lovely!) - how big is it? is it 20 pages or 20 sides? does it come with journal cards/tags/ephemera? is it on a specific theme? are there pockets to store bits and bobs in? etc… You get the idea.

Good luck with your shop x

Hi welcome to Folksy
You have some lively items but agree with others i you need a lot more information in the descriptions, some don’t really have anything in them
Also use as many tags as possible, it all helps with getting seen.
Good luck with your shop

Thank you  xx
