Hi everyone, I am new to Folksy today and trying to find my way around doing the listings. So sorry if my question is silly, but I have failed to find any answer in the knowledgebase or the forum.
So I have some items that I can ship internationally, and others that are not allowed (as they are made with plant material & can have seeds). So anyway, I can’t see anywhere in the listing page for me to block international sales. I started with my first listing being an item that must be UK only and so this is how I came to wonder.
Is it as simple as not filling out any delivery cost for international within the draft listing page and then it is automatically UK only, or is there somewhere else that I need to add delivery settings, in which case I can’t set them individually for each item?
You could put in the listing “UK sales only” and leave the relevant postage boxes blank it doesn’t allow orders to go through if the delivery address is in that zone.
Hi,
If you leave the postage blank for that item (not putting 0 or anything) it won’t appear for the buyer as an option outside the UK. It might be worth leaving a note at the top of your shop saying some items can only be shipped nationally.
Thank you both for your answers. I kind of just tried that, and it does seem that leaving it blank makes it unavailable outside of the UK. Fingers crossed that is so and I don’t get any orders for anywhere else!
Yes that’s right, it is as simple as not entering anything into the box for whichever area/s you don’t want to ship to. That means you can have some items which are UK only, and some items with international shipping.
