No Buy February (supplies)

Well I have decided to buy no new supplies for February. I already have a large work room full of stuff, probably 80% will never use.

During February decluttering and not buying, okay May get the odd pot of glue or some thread as that is classed as necessary to help me create. No fabric, no digitalis, no beads, the list goes on.

Who wants to join me and we can help each other.

Oh yes, I definitely need this!

I’ve cut right down on what I’ve been buying recently as I’d really like to be able to easily find what I want to use instead of having to move boxes to get at what I need.

I’ve sold a few supplies that I won’t get around to using but would really like to use up more things.

Please help me to remember that I don’t need to buy ALL the pretties

I will remind you, think if we do this together will get there. My plan is by the end of Feb know what I have and where!

?

You are incorrigible, here was me hoping for support, lol.

I am in!
Actually I have bought very little the last year. I may have received freebies that are fun to play with and make into something new and to put up on folksy.

I often set myself this challenge, so I’m very happy to join you all! Of course there are some things which you just can’t leave in the shop, but I think if I never buy fabric again, my stash will see me out.

Count me in too please. Fabric and lots of other bits and pieces I’ll never use.

Walk away from the fabric .

Ask yourself can I live without it? When will I,use it all up? Do I have a specific project in mind that means will use in the next week. Do I have anything that could be used at home!

I can do that. I can walk away from fabric. Even though I was once a pretty skilled dressmaker ( thanks Mum) and made both my wedding outfits and bridesmaids etc etc. Not now. My eyesight is great long distance. 20/20. But those closest two inches, the needle threading ones have gone in compensation and I can’t sew if can’t thread a needle. ( I know I know about needle threaders  assists ).

Yes I am in! I really need to downsize my stash. Good excuse to list some de-stash supplies that I no longer use and maybe tempt some of you to not succeed with your challenge :rofl:

I haven’t bought any new supplies in months, usually it’s every couple of months, but I really cannot remember the last time I bought jewellery supplies, it’s been that quiet in the last 12 months :frowning:
Wool/yarn is a different matter as I use it a lot to make items for charity as well as selling, but it looks like most of the knit and crochet items I have for sale will also go for charity, as they are not selling, at least they will be loved by someone who needs them.

Oohhh, I really struggle not to get seduced by new fabric.
Liberty Tana Lawn is my weakness.
I’m in, I really do need to use more of what I already have!

I’m in too. But I may be slightly cheating as I bought a lot of new stock supplies in the Jan sales as I’m re-setting my crafting/shops after a few years caring for a relative. I will still need to get a few essentials (packaging and labels etc), but I promise to resist new pretties.

Part of my new direction is to de-stash some of my fabric and haberdashery I know I won’t use. Maybe I should wait until after February to list in the shop if we get too many people joining in this campaign .

I don’t think I stand a chance, not even counting consumables like packaging. Every time I think “I’ve got plenty of materials, I’m not buying any more” along comes a Custom Order request. I’ve already had three since Christmas. I wish you all the best of luck

Custom orders are not included this is more those things you impulse buy just because. I have a lot of those, lol.

I keep buying more glass, can’t resist but it means spending any profits! I will see how long I last, it is a leap year isn’t it so that extra day might be tricky!

I just bought a jumper…to keep me warm while working  but it’s not February yet.
It was an impulse buy  I saw it and liked it.
Just need to sell some glass to pay for it…
