Behave Joy I do not expect you to run round naked you have to have clothes. They are a necessity not supplies, lol
I know the feeling - Iāve had to resort to reading glass over the last couple of years to thread needles:rofl: (getting some varifocals at the weekend so weāll see how that goes!). On the subject of needle threaders - I canāt use them donāt know what it is about them but whenever Iāve tried I always give up

Just checked the date and phew itās still Januaryā¦just, Iāve been out for a couple of hours today (whoop, doesnt happen often) mainly because I needed to go to the chemist for a hair colour and I fell into Hobbycraft, the only craft shop in the city and being a bit like a child in a toy shop I managed to buy all sorts of random stuff that I didnt even know I needed or wanted. Also placed a couple of online orders this week for more bits that I didnāt need so Yeah I am definately joining in with the 'NO BUY SUPPLIES February". Now I am going to turn off my computer for the next 29 (leap year) days and not leave the village until March (thatās easy as Iām almost a hermit.
I made a decision last year to stop buying craft bits that I donāt need and have done surprisingly well over the past few monthsā¦i just seem to have bought more clothes instead
Iām joining in with āNo Buy Februaryā I think I have enough for the month, unless I get a custom order.
Iām terrible at more yarn just because ā¦
Yay, Iāve made it through the first day!
Instead of thinking what to make next and then deciding that I needed something else to make it with I picked a box with background card, toppers and inserts from my stash and just started working through it.
Iāve made 11 cards and used up 8 A4 sheets so far. And I wasnāt tempted to buy anything
Well done Lorraine. I too have not bought anything feels good. Just goes to show what we can make with items already held.
Iāve just bought a bag full of yarny goodness! I do need it though as itās to make some gifts, so that doesnāt count.
Well done everyone who got through the first day. Keep it up, only 28 more days to go. X
Excuse me, just going to love the excuses that come up this month!
it really was necessary as I donāt have the yarn I needed and I have to get these made asap.
Hmmm, not convinced Lynne, lol
I made it through day 1š¤£
Daughter went to a quilting show at the weekend and bought a pack of fabric scraps as a gift for me. It arrived in the post yesterday, so that was a nice fabric fix and will help see me through!
Sometimes I look at all the fabric in my workroom and I think āIāve have hundreds of pounds tied up in hereā. Make more and buy less is definitely the way forward for me.
Receiving a gift is different as you did not actually buy it. Donations are fine as well.
If I need solder can I give You the money and you can buy, send me solder ?
If you need it you will have to get it. It is the bought because ā¦ā¦ that is not on.
Oh no, I might have to slip! Iāve just found an email from Hobbycraft with a Ā£5 off voucher for my birthday last month. It runs out on the 6th of Feb and it would be a shame not to use it.
Thereās no minimum spend on the voucher though so if I could just spend exactly Ā£5 it wouldnāt cost me anything - does that count?
Iāll let you have that one but only Ā£5!
Ok. Iāll try to buy something boring that I need and know Iāll use up like double sided tape
I did it! I bought 5 sheets of 3d foam pads at £1 each and just smiled and handed over my voucher
