No Buy February (supplies)

Good grief we need a boardwalk for the naughty step, you lot are dreadful. The 18th and still staying strong!

I’ve still bought nothing myself, not craft supplies at least.

I’m just back from a holiday in Shetland and the first thing I must do is confess to a small fabric purchase! I’m looking at it as a souvenir rather than supplies (although of course it will be used!) and I think it is only polite to support small businesses when you go to visit .

I did pick up a car full fabric at the Linus patchwork day yesterday. But I’m hoping it doesn’t count as it was totally free, and I have to give it back as finished quilts :grinning:

I’m doing quite well by buying LOTS of boring packaging stuff such as cardboard boxes and tissue paper. By the time I’ve been trawling ebay for a couple of hours to find replacements for previous suppliers no longer trading, I have no energy left to look for pretty stuff

Also, my Dad helped by insisting we sort out my knitting wool stash. Putting like yarns together and labelling each box was something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, but not with a witness! However, I now know exactly what I have, where to find it, and I have very little excuse to buy any more wool for several years. (Probably will though, when no-one is watching . . .)

I think if an item is an absolute necessity (like my brass rings were lol ) we should just have a little reminder of what we are trying to achieve, perhaps just a little nudge to say try harder next time and the ever expanding naughty step should be kept for those offenders that simply cannot be helped, that continually break the rules and well… that there is simply no hope for … Of course I have learnt form my mistake and am pretty certain I can now make it to the end of February

Somehow Debby I’m not buying what you’re shovelling here, :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: but forgiveness is good so you are forgiven this time,:rofl::rofl:

Ooh lucky you, Shetland is on my bucket list for sure, I’ve done most of the bigger Scottish islands but not Shetland yet and yes, must always try and help small local independents, would be rude not too wouldn’t it.

I agree I blame Amanda, not a supply so it is fine.

 I’ll take it, it’s all my fault because I was naughty and bought the fabric in the first place  But thank you Lynne for being my partner in crime!

Oh dear!
I may have just bought fabric, thread and buttons from @Thecraftycurioshop but they were so cute!
Does it count if I bought from a fellow folksy shop though?

Actually I think it is a very good excuse! I may be biased of course. Thank you Zoe for your order.

My favourite brand just launched new stamp sets. They came with dies, papers, washi tape & printed vellum & acetate. I think we all know where this is going…!

They’re all so beautiful though and I’ve just stamped out 110 little cuties to use up loads of odds and ends of stamping card

I’m sorry. I’ll bring freshly made cheese scones to the naughty step and try harder next month
