No Buy February (supplies)

Like you I am going to continue, okay may be some slip ups or necessities but trying to stay firm. Keep thinking ahead when drawers etc are empty and can sit and plan a project, order the supplies, complete in one go. Not having to search for things, may even get my water colours out!

Talking of felt have you tried the wool felt company ? It’s lovely quality, but also the reason i failed dismally at not buying any supplies  and why I really should not have mentioned it to you …

They are very good Debby use their wool felt for embroidery.

I know I failed a few days ago, but I have now donated a bag of wool to a local project - does that cancel out failing :rofl:

Hmmmmmm! Not sure about that one.

Fascinating the number of excuses us creatives can come up with, lol.

Okay both of you on the naughty step.

I am really pleased with managing it so far, if a success may continue into March.

Still to resume the decluttering must make a start on that, the charity shop is going to do well. Feels so good when less ā€˜stuff’ in the house,

  :joy: :joy_cat: it wasn’t my intention honestly Miss …but I did realise my intentions of helping might be hindering  please can I get up now I’ve been here hoursl
I have to also add that since my relapse with the wool felt I have been very good.

Thanks Debby @Bearlescent , I’m not sure my little efforts would be worthy of the really lovely felt though. That’s all that’s stopping me at the moment!

I’ve just listed a couple of card kits that I don’t think I’ll ever get around to using on some Facebook destash groups. I bought them while I was working as my boss always requested Forever Friends cards for his wife but now they’re surplus to requirements.

I need to get rid of 20 boxes of stuff and then nothing will be hidden by anything else and I can get at everything easily. That’s my aim for this year.

Then I might find my felt!

@LilacDaisy I had a huge craft destash about 5 years ago as I had enough kits and things to last me 3 life times over. They were all brand new so I sold them all at maximun of half price some less, along with fabric, teddy bear patterns (that weren’t my own designs) etc. I put it all on ebay and raised nearly Ā£500 , it was quite alarming to know how much I had actually spent on kits that i would no longer use but it felt good to destash and make so much money.
I might have to have another clear out soon. I have quite a bit of stuff stored in the loft as my sewing room is full.
Hope you find that felt before the year is out

Oooh loving those colours Lorraine, I love the apple green, I use that one quite a lot…ooh wouldn’t I love to get my hands on that stash obviously not in February though as I have only just got up from the naughty step that Lynne put me on lol :grinning:

Oh no I have just remembered I ordered some small brass rings a couple of days ago, they are a necessity for new makes so i dont think that counts, I do need them and they are nothing exciting and I dont own any already

I’ve just had to buy more blank cards as I have used up all of my 7"Ɨ5" ones and I need them to be able to finish the cards I’ve started. It was all going so well…

Failed dismally, yeah, I know, off to the naughty step…

I just couldn’t resist when I saw them.
In fairness, the lawn mower engine was a freebie…

Blimey that naughty step needs expanding,
At this rate you’ll all be writing out one hundred times ā€˜ I must not buy any more supplies’ tsk

I failed too. I didn’t have any coordinating prints for my reversible aprons, so I bought some in a sale (part fail as they were necessary so I can prep Easter stock).

Then I bought some vintage tablecloths on eBay, just cos I liked them and thought they would go in a future craft kit that I haven’t even started designing yet (huge fail).

Oooooooh no. I just remembered that I forgot to confess…I bought some little rainbow coe 90 slices earlier in the week…they are so small I completely forgot and honestly they really are so small they probably don’t count… except they are rather expensive…don’t tell Bob
See you all on the naughty step… while I’m there I might as well just check the fused glass shop to see if they have anything special
