No Buy Supplies July 2024

Welcome to No Buy July, where we help each other use up supplies we have. I have a room full, cupboards, drawers etc and really do not need more. Keep saying going to declutter and downsize my studio but does not happen,

Always a great idea to have that clear out of supplies that have been tagged ā€˜Iā€™ll keep that just in caseā€™. Iā€™ve just done two at ā€˜Declutter Fairsā€™ so, for the time being, my stash is once again manageable.

Love the idea of ā€˜declutter fairsā€™. Great idea!

I have recently given away a sizzix electric machine, which I did not use and a large manual fabric cutter which I do not use any more. But I have just ordered some journal stuff from @Craftyali1 because I want to have something to do other than quilting, so that was two out, one in.

Wellā€¦thatā€™s trust for youā€¦

No me neither lol   :joy: but I am going to bloominā€™ well try this month as my sewing room is about to collapse on top of the dining room

Oh I think so yesā€¦in fact if it was myself I would fully expect I am still allowed one more treat to make it equal  but I am known for breakƬng the rules

I did well last month with only buying buttons from a fellow folksy seller and they were needed.
I am not sure about this month as my fairs are increasing so I am probably going to be buying lining fabric and no doubt that will extend to other things so that I get free postageā€‹ itā€™s also my birthday this month so there may be some excuses made there too!

I shall sit and watch at the sidelines as you all fall onto the naughty step this monthšŸ¤£

Bad start for me. Got a private order for a yellow ā€˜thingā€™. Made something else yellow yesterday and realised I am low on yellow. soā€¦had to order some yelllow glass, several different typesā€¦ and silly to only get just yellow soā€¦
I spent today more than double the amount in materials than I have taken in orders here on Folksy in last two months.

Please give me a pep talk, almost folded but trying so hard to remaking strong. I do not need anymore printables.

My glass came today. :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

You are so helpful! There is me in my hour if need, lol.

I Needed it, really really I did. And look what I am making

The good news is the customer has already paid me  (And no sale or Stripe/Paypal commission fees as private sale   )

Iā€™ve been paid a big deposit from a friend for two quilts I am making for her, I wonā€™t need to buy wadding or backing fabric this month, as she doesnā€™t need them urgently, I think they are going to be Christmas gifts. Thatā€™s me not buying anything more this month.

@Thecraftycurioshop made me fall onto the naughty step as she listed some buttons that I couldnā€™t resist. They were helping a folksy seller and they most definitely will get used.

I also have to confess to going to ā€œThe Cowslip Craft Fairā€ near Launceston, Cornwall which was on my Birthday and I did buy some fabric. I also saw a fellow folksy seller there too @DeborahJonesJewellery and its nice to put a face to the shop seller in real life and say hellošŸ˜Š

My niece Rachel used to help out there. I designed and made a cowslip suncatcher for them . Sadly somebody nicked it which was really mean.
I visit Launceston as often as I can as my eldest sister lives there. Last there in May when we caravanned near Woolacombe.
