Order responses

When I purchase something I really appreciate an acknowledgement so I always do the same usually within a few hours. I also send another on posting day wuth their tracking number. I think it depends on how big your business is though.

This topic has been very useful, I have on occasion sent emails but thought they may be unwelcome, I usually also add a small ‘extra’ but now intend to acknowledge orders with tracking number.
I use EVRI as they are cheaper than Royal Mail but may change after seeing some of EVRI’s delivery methods! Postage is a significant cost, my standard charge is 3pounds but EVRI charge 3.17 so I absorb that. Packaging can be another expense, I have access to sheet cardboard and make my own boxes- fun but time consuming

I send a quick ‘thank you for your order’ message, which states when the order will be sent, how it will be sent and when expected delivery will be, just in case they haven’t read the listing correctly. That’s the only message I send

I think that Evri vary wildly by area. They were changeable where I lived in Essex but are absolutely HORRIBLE where I am now in the Scottish Borders. Given their employment approach for couriers, that isn’t surprising. I’ve always been really lucky with Royal Mail who have been amazing everywhere I’ve lived, but I know some areas have complaints about them too.

Always send a email when I’m sending their item out. But wish there was somewhere you could add tracking details on folksy too.

yes so do i
