People ordering outside the UK When I don't sell outside the UK

Despite the fact that I don’t sell outside the UK and this is reflected in my postage settings. How can someone outside the UK order when this is set up? And how do I avoid this for the future?

IF you have left the foreign boxes empty ( don’t put “0” in them),…then I would contact admin.

As Brenda said so long as you’ve got nothing in in the boxes for non UK shipping costs then international buyers shouldn’t be able to buy from you. You can double check in case you’ve accidentally filled one of those boxes in by going to the bulk edit tab and scrolling through the list - this will show if any listings have postage other than UK set up. (I looked at a number of your listings and couldn’t spot any with non uk shipping). People outside the UK would be able to order if they have a UK delivery address.

Nope, none of the international boxes had anything in them. So I don’t understand it. They paid by Stripe too. So I’ve just refunded. It’s very frustrating also that I cannot mark the item refunded. It’s still marked as shipped. The other thing is that when I contacted support and told them I’d refunded they asked for a reference number and there isn’t one. I’ve searched and searched and the number in the item URL I sent them so that’s another confusion.

If you look at the order page you should see a url that looks something like folksy. com/users/SashaGarrett/orders/XXXXXX The XXXXXXX at the end are the order reference number. (They should also be able to find the order based on the stripe payment reference number which you’d find on your stripe dashboard but the order reference number would be easier)

@PeppermintGinger In this case, it’s because the buyer selected UK as their country, but filled in the street/city fields with US details. The location goes from the country they select, so they would have purposefully selected the wrong country to get the order to go through.

As @SashaGarrett says, the order number is the number from the end of the URL on the order page. You just gave the number from the item page instead of the order one.

Unfortunately we can’t find orders from the Stripe payment reference though. Date or buyer email address is best (preferably both if you get a lot of orders).
