Posting information

In each listing, it specifies the time period to post an item. Can this be set at Working days rather than just days. For me, 3 days is fine but if a Bank Holiday occurs the time to post is going to be longer than this, especially over the Christmas period.
Anyone any thoughts on this and can the wording be changed? Or is it assumed that the wording means working days?

John Fox

John I would think it is 3 postal working days, so if I ordered on Sunday with a bank holiday Monday, would assume posted on Tuesday.

If you are worried change to 5 days when you list.

I posted something on a Tuesday did not arrive until Thursday week, way past what RM say they will do, luckily to an old school chum and she was fine about it.

Thanks. I suppose I could simply email the buyer when I acknowledge the purchase and send the shipping info.
Is there a way to contact Folksy to ask if the wording could be changed?

John

You could email support or I often get a box that comes up what you would like Folksy to have etc.

I agree that specifying working days would be helpful, especially in these days of Amazon/expected next day delivery.
I sometimes put that it’s working days in my shop in the Shop Announcements box.

Totally agree with specifying it’s working days. I personally take it as working, but I don’t think that everyone does. Some people forget we are not participating in the Prime scheme  That’s the reason I put 3 days instead of 1 for the items that are actually ready to go.

I add at the bottom of each listing that I will post within 2 working days, 2nd class postage. That way it is on each listing.
