Question… we’re putting together our last-minute Christmas gift guide / email and planning our social posts leading up to Christmas Day. Who is still open and taking orders - and when is your final day for orders?
Also do you all have your last order dates in your Folksy shop Announcement section, so if customers come to your shop they feel reassured that they can still order?
If you’re still going to be open and taking Christmas orders on Wednesday or even Thursday (with Royal Mail Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Special Delivery Guaranteed), could you let me know here and add a link to your shop or listings that will still be available? Thank you!
Sure, I will be open throughout the holiday season and new year…some people continue shopping…Most of my items are ready to ship. I could ship the same day too, if needed, as long as it is before the last posting time around 4pm.
I’m staying open throughout, I send all mine 1st class though. They should arrive the next day. Depending on what time it’s ordered I usually get it in the post the same day.
I just updated my announcement to say Wednesday instead of Tuesday because of this post. I always stay open and post within 1 working day, but had put an overly cautious date just to make sure.
Reality is any orders up to 2-3pm Thursday will get sent 1st class in Thursday’s post, but I don’t want to over complicate my announcement (and I still post after that, they just probably won’t arrive by the 25th).
My shop is open 365 !! All items listed in my shop are already made and ready to post within 24hrs of payment . All items sent 1st class . My last posting date is Friday 21st .
I always stay open all over the festive period (I’ve had orders on Christmas Day before now) I always post first class (signed for for higher value items) and everything is ready to go so can be shipped out same day/next day depending on time of the order. I do think people have to be realistic though and accept that there is no guarantee that the post will get to them in time .
Shop is open 365, I’ve added upgrades to 1st class and Special Delivery Guaranteed as well! My final order day for 1st class with delivery is Thurs 20th Dec, my final order day for Special Delivery Guaranteed is Fri 21st Dec.
I will be receiving Christmas orders until Saturday 22nd at midday (with Special Delivery Guaranteed). All my stock is ready and I am visiting the post office every day this week.
Yes I will remain open and have put an announcement in my shop. As I send my items Royal Mail 1st class the last posting date for Christmas is December 20th.
My shop is remaining open, all things are ready to post. If items are ordered after last posting date for Christmas, I will still post them out and they will get there just after Christmas
My shop will remain open all throughout Christmas and the New Year. I post 1st class by Royal Mail, so I am going to announce that Thursday is the last posting day for Christmas!
I’m open like Brenda above. If someone wants something I’ll always do my best to get it to them. I always post first class. Only use signed for if value dictates that ( as hate getting signed for myself and don’t think it makes any difference to whether it gets there faster or not).
I use my local post office which is super reliable and most things get there next day and I always post out as soon as I can dependent on post office being open / collection times (last post is 4.30 pm).
I’ve put this as my tagline and also something similar on a Facebook post which I’ve boosted.
**Welcome to JOYsofGLASS. I don’t close for Xmas so any orders will post to you lst class same / next day throughout December.
**
Last year I had 7 orders between the 18th and the 20th.
4 in 2016 and 7 in 2015 so hopeful of a few more yet before Christmas and I usually get a few after Xmas, before new year too.
.
(PS @folksycontent the Folksy Bill screen is sooooo useful for checking things like that)
I’m staying open. I have some items priced for 1st class and some for 2nd class but I’ve got an announcement on my shop asking customers to message me for Christmas delivery after today so that I can add extra postage if they want a quicker delivery.
