Hello everyone this is my first time posting here, having just found the Facebook Folksy shop group. I’ve been on Folksy for about a month and after a very warm welcome on the Facebook group it was suggested I find the Folksy forums so here I am😊
My pottery hobby pays for clay and glazes and so that I can make pieces to auction for animal rescue charities (World Animal Friends and Friends of Ferals, both on Facebook). In fact one of my larger bowls is currently up for auction here - and this is the piece I would like to Showcase. We know a local wood worker who sadly lost his wife to Cancer some years ago. He now donates all his fair takings to Cancer research and has raised thousands of pounds over the years. It’s a nice thing to do if you can.
I did start a clay thread once but there aren’t that many potter’s here that participate in the forums so it faded away…lol! We could always start a pottery chat thread where we promote work and chat about ceramics!
