Hi all, I know some of you here are very computer savvy and am wondering if you can help please. I use a Mac book, IPad and IPhone, since we had the new update to IOS 26 I’m unable to access Folksy unless I completely clear all cookies, browsing history etc every time I want to use Folksy, now, obviously this isn’t a great work around and not something I’m really prepared to do.
Mr Painted horse suggested trying an old IPad which runs on IOS 17.7 it’s too old to have anymore updates and Folksy works perfectly, would anyone know, could it be that Folksy is optimised to run on the new IOS 26? Mr PHs suggestion as I’m rubbish with all tech stuff, anyway if any of you amazing tech savvy folksy Folks can help I’d be very happy. Thanks in advance Lynne
I have upgraded to OS26 last week, across all and had no problems accessing Folksy at all.
The problem could be the what you had on there before. Did you have the last OS? I upgraded to the latest OS17 and then upgraded to 26. Sometimes skipping the latest of the one before can cause a blip.
Failing that try unloading check the OS upgrade if needed to the latest OS. Running 18.71 on the iPhone
Others that are compatible:
Compatible devices
iPad Pro (M5, M4, 11-inch 1st gen and later, 12.9-inch 3rd gen and later)
iPad Air (M3, M2, 3rd gen and later)
iPad (A16, 8th gen and later)
iPad mini (A17 Pro, 5th gen and later)
iPadOS 26 requires an A12 Bionic chip or later, so older models are not supported.
Thanks for the suggestions, I always do my updates, so was fully up to date when updated to 26
It would appear it’s just me and like I said if I clear my cookies, browsing history etc etc I can log in and it works just fine until next time I try to use it, but that’s just not practical is it really.
I’ll check all my settings again and try asking support again but it looks like I’ll be one less Folksy buyer going forward.
I think I’ve found the problem, it’s my vpn, as soon as I pause it Folksy loads and works just fine, so at least I have an easier work around. Although pausing isn’t ideal it’s better than losing Folksy altogether.
