As I was enjoying a quiet lunch today, a picture fell off the wall and smashed itself and a handmade glass bowl that was on the shelf below it. The bowl was a wedding gift from our in laws years ago and the glass was lovely, although I confess I never really liked the shape of the bowl itself 
Can anything be done with the pieces to make another object?
If any of the glass artists can reshape bits of the bowl I could set them into silver for a bit of an collaboration (earrings/ pendant/ cufflinks take your pick).
(I do know a couple of lapidrists away from Folksy who could do this if there is no-one here. They have cut things like rosarita and Fenton glass for me so I know they have the appropriate grind wheels)
A similar thing happened to my brother in law’s brother. He gave me the pieces (it was mainly one big piece but then the bits which broke off). I put them together into the rough shape they had been and then melted them in my kiln and produced an abstract flat ‘picture’ which I put into a deep box frame for them. No way I could recreate the vase… think it was Murano glass which is a different COE to the normal ones in usein the UK but my kiln did melt t. Hold on.. probably got a photo somewhere as I have a photo of Everything i’ve ever made or worked on.

I must admit that I really like the idea of having it made into a bowl again - to kind of retain the original gift. Is it possible for it to be melted down and blown into something else?
I’m attaching a couple of pictures - a large shard that has most of the base showing where the pipe would have been attached and the types of colours in it and another trying to show the scratched in signature.
