It a big decision to make but I’m sick of competing with rubbish

Congratulations on getting that first sale.

Can I just remind people that we shouldn’t really be mentioning other selling platforms here in the forums. I’m not folksy staff but saves you getting a ticking off :joy:

Your cards are lovely and well done on the sale
There is a lot of competition with cards so good luck…Can I just mention ( kindly) that your postage seems a bit high … If you add it to the cost of a card it makes a card cost £8 and that might put people off.
Even my 8" x 6" paintings go for £1.75
I sell cards and I post them in a proper card backed envelope for just £1.75… I send second class large letter so you could manage to post for £2 or less…(use second class and that helps)…I have never had a problem with using 2nd class. (yet)

Thank you for your comments and I agree the postage is high because I send them 48hr tracked I did this because where I sell on another site they set your delivery time and informed the customer when they were to expect the cards which was a problem but now I see Folksy dont do that I will look into sending large letter 2nd class. I appreciate your help

I use RM tracked 48, and charge per order, not item.

I put a few of my cheaper items 2nd class for a while to try it out, two of them sold, and posted the same day. The first one I refunded the customer as it wasn’t delivered, luckily it was to a folksy seller so there was no trouble, and I was told that it finally arrived in April (I had sent it out in January!). The other one was to a customer that I do not know, and unfortunately I don’t know if the card ever arrived. I want to believe it did. I turned back to tracked 48 after that. We are not able to add tracking number on Folksy unfortunately, but I always send an email to the customer with all the info about their delivery, which so far works well for me :slightly_smiling_face:

You might want to consider busy seasons and delays for your shipping method, like Christmas etc, and see what suits you best x

Thank you for your comments that is the way I was shipping 48hr tracked no matter how many cards they buy, I was worried about the delays with Royal Mail using 2nd class, thank you so much

Well, thank goodness you posted this, I thought I had set it up for per order but went to check and I hadn’t, so almost 2 weeks I have been open and potential customers have been seeing per item. I feel stupid now and it may have cost me sales.

I have made a shop announcement to confirm I have now set up per order, so thank you for the heads up.

Nice to see something good came out of my bad 2nd class experience, maybe that was the purpose of it in the first place, who knows
