Search Clicks and tags

I posted the below on the fb clubhouse page but no one has commented, I would appreciate a bit of feedback

I’ve recently bought my folksy shop back to life, I’ve read the guides for listings and gone back and made some adjustments to this listing. On another platform this was my best seller last year. Since reopening I’m not getting search clicks so wanted to make sure I’m on the right track with the tags before looking at other listings. I’ve just searched ‘crochet baby booties’ and was pleased that they came up on the first page, that hasn’t happened when I previously looked. Your advice is greatly appreciated

If you type baby booties into Google, it will come up with the most used searches such as baby booties 3 - 6 months.

I do search on google, but the listing guide said about using single word tags which is not how ive learnt on E***

The fact that you are ranking highly in the folksy search indicates that you are on the right track with your tags (although i would question why you have booty pattern in there when you are selling the finished item not the pattern). I did notice when I ran a search for baby booties is that only one of your listings was featuring highly - I suspect this is to do with the algorithm putting a weighting on the uniqueness of the listing (title and description) and at the moment yours are all quite similar. So that might be one thing to look into tweaking further.
Also I think you might have your variation pricing set up wrongly - when I put some size 0-3 month booties into my basket the price went up to £19.50 which seems very expensive for baby booties (I certainly wouldn’t spend that much on something that might get pulled off and lost and probably out grown quite quickly). I suspect that the price is meant to be £10 in which case you need to put the difference in price between the base price (new born size @£9.50) and the price for the variation, which in this case would be 50p.

Thank you for this information its very helpful. I hadn’t realised you only put the difference in the price.

I’ve set them all up wrong - I will correct that tonight.

This is the only listing which I have amended the tags and title on. I will work on the others, I didnt want to change to much in case I had got things wrong

I’m getting a price of £14 for the 12-18 month variation which seems right so I think you’ve got it set up correctly.
