Has there been a thread, or would it be an idea to start a thread for searching for each others shops on the web, to see where it appears, etc? If we search for our own, chances are it’s been done before and it will appear at the top of search.

Just searched under your shop name on Google Chrome and the whole page was filled with links to your pages. First up was Facebook (possibly predictably because FB is such a popular site) then your blog and Folksy was near the bottom of the page (about 4 entries up). That is very good news for you! Maybe somebody else could search on Firefox or IE?
