Seller Profile question, items sold

I just went to my profile to update my info and it shows ‘Items sold’ 502, in my shop the number of items sold is 486. Does anybody know why this figure would be different ? I don’t remember having orders cancelled, can’t think what else it could be’.

Hi Debbie

From my view it is showing 486 items sold.

Get in touch with me. Need to worn you about the website builder you have said your going with!

I think it might be that you’ve sold duplicates of the same item, so they’re counted as one item.

Mines different too…in my profile I have sold 935 items, but on my shop front it’s 916. I’ve only had a couple of cancelled orders so no idea why there is a difference.

I do have kits in my shop but I’m pretty sure when one is sold the number of sold items on my shop front goes up, you may be right though.

@KBCreations it’s strange isn’t it, would be good to know why it differs.

@DemelzaDesigns hi Gail I will message tomorrow thank you

I’ve been waiting to get to 200 and I’m on 199. But my profile says 205 :joy:

Where are you seeing this total number of sales (the larger figure)? I can only see the one on my shop front.

If you go to your seller dashboard, near the bottom it says 'Profile, there’s a section you can fill in, like a bio and to the left it tells you how many sales you have made.

@Amberlilly, fingers crossed for that sale coming through.

Ah, thanks, that’s where I was looking. It doesn’t have it on mine! I looked on both my phone and my chromebook.

Edit - just found it. I had to click on something else for it to come up.

Thanks

I don’t think it’s that..I have sold multiples of the same items lots of times, particularly things like my hanging decorations, so the figure on my profile would be a lot higher if it was that.

@folksy any idea why the number of items sold differs between our profiles and shop front ?

Mine is different too. The number on my shop front is correct and matches the my spreadsheet of sales. I wonder if the figure on the profile page includes items which I have removed, having sold them elsewhere, but doesn’t count as a Folksy sale?

Hi, I thought it might perhaps be that but I am sure I must have sold a lot more elsewhere than it is showing, without going through my accounting books I don’t know.
Would be interesting to find out, I have tagged Folksy, will wait and see if they respond.

I wonder if it’s the difference between the number of orders and the number of items sold. For example, on the “other” platform, the number of orders could be 1, but items sold 2. That would mean that one person placed an order, but bought 2 things. Just a guess perhaps??? :woman_shrugging:

It’s definitely not that. I have had a lot of orders with more than one item in them and my figures only have a difference of 7.
