Hi folks. I want to ask if everyone here has Stripe activated, did you have issues setting it up and does it effect your shop if you don’t have it? I wasn’t able to set it up since my passport has expired, I don’t have a driving license and we don’t have Citizens ID cards in the UK. I emailed Folksy and they weren’t helpful, just said words to the effect of oh never mind. But last time I logged in I saw a message at the top of my shop about it. I’ve noticed that my stuff doesn’t seem to feature much, so just wondering if not having Stripe is holding me back.
Not having stripe shouldn’t hold your shop back - i regularly buy from a couple of shops that were set up in the pre-stripe days and the makers never added stripe. Those shops get picked as folksy favourites and for inclusion on socials.
I do know of a few others who like you dont have a passport or drivers license so couldn’t set up stripe. I’m sure they will be along to reassure you that not having stripe hasnt affected their shop.
