hi I am new to sellig on folksy you might have already seen my shop selling acrylic on canvas
paintings but my question is what is the best way to sell on folksy
from paul
Paul, you started a thread just the same as this yesterday.
I advised you then to look through the forums for similar threads. I tried to link one but it didn’t work. They are easy to find though.
You don’t get many replies because you are asking the same thing over and over again and people just ignore threads like this because it is seen as spamming the forum.
Have a look through the thread titles and you will see the ones where advice is given on selling.
Totally agree with sara @DandelionsGallery. I notice several threads you have started showing a new piece of your work. Imagine if everyone started a new thread every time they listed something new! I would advise that you are much better off joining in the existing threads where your work will get seen.
Paul @paulsart This is the type of thread Sara @DandelionsGallery is talking about.
You will find lots of helpful advice on it.
If the link takes you to the last post, then scroll up to the top of the thread and read it through.
You need to do a lot of promotion outside of Folksy
Do you facebook, twitter, pinterst, google plus, wanelo, stumbleupon? have you joined craftjuice.
If not then start with on of these sites. Facebook, stumbleupon and twitter are easy to post your items to from your individual listings as each item you list the buttons are there to click. But you most first open accounts for them and they are all free.
Then look at the weekly and daily listing threads and the craftjuice thread in the Showcase bit of the forum.
So to their first posts and see what we do. These are the threads where you put your item onto so others on those threads will promote your item for you in return you agree to promote their item. That way we help each other to reach more people with our items.
hope that helps
Paul, you do risk being flagged for spamming the forum, you’d be far better joining in some of the existing threads rather than asking the same question lots of times or starting a new thread for every painting.
You’ve got lots of good advice here, hope you start selling lots soon. Good luck!
