Hi,
I listed my 1st item about 2 hours ago and I can find it via a search but when I click on my shop name it’s saying " This shop is currently empty. Please check back when we’ve restocked".
Do items need to be approved or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!
Darren.
Hi Darren,
New listings are published straight away, have you checked if it is still in your drafts?
It’s saying I have 1 active listing which I can see on my dashboard but it’s not showing when I “view my shop”
have you set up all your payment details? worth checking or message support@folksy who will be able to help
best of luck with your shop
Yes I’ve set up paypal, I just looked at trustpilot for stripe card payments and it has a lot of bad reviews so wanted to stick to paypal only for now.
Weird, normally listings appear instantly in our shops. I can find your item and shop via search (I even put your rock piles into my basket to check that I could) but your shop isn’t appearing on the list of new sellers either. Drop support an email so they can look into it tomorrow.
Its 7am and your shop is appearing on the new sellers list and i can see your item in your shop. So either youve passed some sort of soft approval process (they have never said that there.is one) or the appropriate server has updated. If new listings dont.immediately appear in your shop then let support know.
Darren, I can see your items now. I really like them - so much work has gone into the detailing.
I’m going to show my two grown up boys your page later as they are really into figures and have friends that are into warhammer etc.
Darren. Just want to point out that you pay by quantity for each listing if you are not Plus. That means you will pay for 18. …whether sold or not.
Probably better to keep your qty low… you can always add more.
Xx
I can see your items too Darren - hopefully you can too by now!
Noticed that you have a discounted price shown and I’m not sure you can do that yet as I believe consumer protection laws require you to have had an item on sale at a particular outlet for a period of time before the price is discounted. There are also rules on how long things can be on sale etc. under the legislation - I’m sure a quick Google will bring it up for you.
Hope you enjoy Folksy and have lots of success here!
Yes I see them now thank you for the kind words x
Thanks for pointing this out
Maybe you could get around the sale problem by listing your items at an introductory price for a short while? You could even offer a shopwide discount - you could put it in your shop announcement and say something like “Use code New20 for 20% off everything” to celebrate the opening of my new Folksy shop"
You set up discount codes in your dashboard and you can set an expiry date on the discount code.
Great idea thank you!
