For anyone worried about deliveries to the US should their government shutdown happen tonight, don’t panic! USPS will still deliver and you can still send to the US.
Apparently the postal service is not funded from the US annual budget so will not be affected.

Which, is good news as we already had enough to worry about with US deliveries! 
Although, I had good news on that front today, one of the first packages I sent to the US via Royal Mail after the new tariff introduction arrived safely within 6 working days - hurrah! 
That is good news, Things have certainly been getting into the US a lot quicker due to the huge reduction in items arriving there. Might slow down again when more countries have got their mail services updated, but it’s great at the moment!
