Vote for last sold instead of top sellers

I have started a suggestion re the top sellers to be replaced by last sold or just sold.

Last sold

Your support would be appreciated as affects all of us.

You have my vote it’s a brilliant idea Caroline @Caroleecrafts it would give a much bigger variety of items shown, and I think a lot more people would get a showing in the front page.

Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery idea Lynn. Just started the vote as Deborah said would make the front page look far more interesting.

Didn’t we used to have this feature a long time ago?

I agree as the only people that get into the top sellers list are the ones with the most expensive items. Many only sell one item and go to the top. I once sold 8 dresses in one order totally over £100 and didn’t get in the top sellers list. One lady who often appears in the list never has anything listed in her shop so I guess they must be commission sales. It is generally jewellery or artists of some description that are in the list so not a good representation of the crafts for sale.

my items are low priced and so there is only a very rare chance of me getting anywhere near that list…even if I sell 15 items to a customer…so yes, I think this idea is a good one x

I’ve often been on the top sellers list and my items are amongst the lower prices, (my highest ever was no.9), but I wonder how many customers look at the list. I look at it but only because I’m a seller and incredibly nosey, otherwise I don’t think I’d bother looking. If we had an ever changing list of ‘last sold’ I think it would be more interesting from a customer’s point of view.

I just searched ‘best sellers’ on Folksy and there did seem to be a lot of jewellery makers and high end items which is fine but perhaps doesn’t represent the overall quirky and diverse nature of Folksy shops. Perhaps a mix of ‘top sellers by value’ and ‘most recent sales’ would better represent what Folksy has to offer. By combining the two criteria a more diverse spread of Folksy sellers would be achieved that would appeal to a wider customer base. Having said that I’m not sure if many customers would use ‘best or top seller’ as a search criteria or be interested in ‘best seller’ as a concept.

Great idea. I have voted.

This idea works for me as think customers would like it, it would be more varied and it would also be more encouraging and attainable to all sellers.

I have been really pleased on the few occassions where I’ve made it onto the current list - however I was also a bit shocked as was aware that this demonstrated how low sales levels must have been across the board at those times (as my sales values weren’t particularly high), so it was also a bit telling.

Thank for the info Caroline, Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery that’s a brilliant idea, hope Folksy think so as well.

Good idea! It would give a lot more variety as it always seems to be the same things.

I have voted. I think it is a great idea. It would add variety to the front page for customers I must admit I never scroll down the page to look at the top sellers list in fact I had forgotten it was there.

What a great idea! x

Totally agree

I logged in as suggested by fb. Given my 3 votes too.

Great idea. At the moment we see the same shops all the time. More variety would look more appealing to customers.

If it’s the last item sold then your item might only show for a couple of minutes if that. Not really sure what the best way is. Most sales irrespective of value perhaps
