What are you going to do whilst in isolation?

As well as lots of cutting out, sewing and knitting, I’ve already reorganised my sewing room - I also feel the need to totally declutter everywhere. Not that I have much clutter to declutter anyway - maybe I’ll recycle my OH
Also, because I can no longer go to band practice, I guess I’m going to have to practise my cornet at home - I don’t think the neighbours are going to enjoy the next few weeks :slightly_smiling_face: :trumpet:

Oh no - that’s rubbish. Hope she’s made a very large complaint to ASDA! They surely can’t have run out of everything on her list!

Take care, Lou

I’m going to panic mostly, with lack of sales.
And then calm myself in the garden, with my veggie patch and pond project.
Fresh air is therapeutic xx

It’s a great time to catch up on your favourite music. I’m playing LPs and CDs that I haven’t played for years.

Hello everyone, I’m looking forward to loosing some weight, as I don’t seem to be able to buy much food in the shops at the moment. A new hair style, as my hair grows extremely fast and Im not letting my husband near it with a pair of scissors! Joking apart I have loads of sewing projects I now have the time to make and experiment with and that will keep me sane during this difficult time. Stay safe and creative x x x

No changes for me as I purchase all postage online and drop packages off at the local delivery depot, so no human contact required anyway.

I think I shall finally have a crack at Folksy Friday collages, so I can pay back the kind folk who have featured me! It will probably take a few weekends yet, and in the meantime, keep doing a short, socially isolated cycle ride everyday to keep me sane!

As all the craft events I had booked have been cancelled I am using this time to re stock and actually get around to listing some new stuff in my Folksy shop.:grinning:

As a teacher I am still working as our school is open for children of key workers. I may also be needed to work in the Easter holidays. If I do have to self isolate I plan to have another go at crochet

I usually go into cleaning and sorting mode when I get unsettled like now! My hubby has got paint to decorate, and I love gardening so hoping for some nice weather too. We will have a very clean and tidy house and a beautiful garden  I also have plenty of beads and wire so hopefully lots of new designs to add to my shop!
I will also be making sure my Dad who is 91 and my sister who is in a very vulnerable category are both ok and making sure they are safe and have everything they need.
Stay safe everyone x

Here’s a bit of fun

Sounds like you are all going to make the most of it

I’m lucky enough to have a garden, so I will also potter around out there. I always wanted a veg patch (but with all the bunnies we’ve had over the years that has not been possible) Still got one very naughty bunny left so I was thinking about making some small planters (out of an old pallette) and putting them on the studio roof. I don’t have any seed trays though, nor any seeds but I guess I could order them online.

I’m not sure yet what’s going to happen in my office. They’re telling us they’re trying to put a plan in place so more people are able to work from home. But a lack of availability of laptops changed the “plan” already… they told us we’ll have to take the whole desktop pc at home instead!:laughing:

So it sounds like I’ll have to work from home… but, if that turns out not to be possible, then I’ll definitely paint, read, do some flowers planting & gardening, and start thinking at some new designs!!

Hope everyone is fine and even who needs to self isolate doesn’t feel lonely!

We’re all working from home - so I save a couple of hours commuting each day.

As well as taking the opportunity to list more items in my shop - the ones that would have been shown at craft fairs and shows, the guitar will be coming out (with headphones, as instructed), and I’ll be taking the camera on a daily constitutional around the block (I need to get out of the house or I’ll go bananas).

There are other projects as well, such as sorting out the junk-pile in the garage.

We’re also spending more time on Skype and the phone with family and friends, making sure we are in touch each day.

I feel for the parents whose children are now off school for the foreseeable future. Our three grandchildren (nearly 6, 4 and 2) are a handful at the best of times - Good luck parents.

Stay safe everyone - there is light at the end of the tunnel, but at the moment I’m not sure what it is.

My dressmaking and alterations business has dried up at the moment, as every wedding has been postponed. I’ll be making things for my shop from my stash. I’ve just set up a private Facebook group to share simple crafting and sewing tutorials with the local community, so I’m designing some things for wee kids all the way to adults. I’ve had a great response so far, and I’m hoping other village crafters will also share ideas and tutorials, so we build a nice wee creative hub for everyone.

Can I make a plea, please don’t buy too many tolilet rolls. Just remember that if you are laid off, or made redundant you can’t eat toilet rolls, save your money for food in leaner times.

I’ve been laid off work so plan to spend much of my day crafting. I’m also volunteering for a local group that supports people in the local area.
