Hello I’m just needing some advise really. I sell, in my b&m shop, some wonderful shower caps that a friend of mine makes. She has no intention of every opening an online shop (she doesn’t relish the internet lol) so I was wondering (before I mention anything to her) what the rules are for selling some for her in my folksy shop?
Apologies if this is an obvious no but I thought I’d sound you out.
Blessings
If you check out the selling section it states’reselling is only allowed. In craft supplies’

Yes indeed ok, thanks for replying.
What a shame that you can’t sell them for her - I absolutely love them!
I guess that rule is in place so that people or groups don’t share Folksy shops?
Part of me wants to argue that technically you wouldn’t be reselling as I presume you wouldn’t be buying them from her in advance, you would be selling them on her behalf. You could always put a bit in your shop announcement and about me sections introducing both makers to make it obvious to shoppers who made what. (I’ve seen husband and wife teams sharing shops in this manner)
When in doubt email support@folksy.com and ask them.
I would say it wasn’t re selling, if you say she makes them I can’t see anything wrong with that. But I could be wrong!!
A lot of sellers on here seem to refer to “we” and “us” when referring to their shops, as if it is not just one person’s work. There is a furniture shop that even has a photograph of everybody involved. Perhaps you and your friend could form a co-operative…
I think it must be hard for Folksy Admin to make these judgements sometimes
Thank you I’ll have a think and email when I’m less tired. X
Thanks everyone! It was just an idea really as they are a bit different and really beautiful. I love papercraft so leave material to the experts! Xx
