I spent the afternoon last weekend at a brilliant “Little workshop” in wales on a silver ring making course http://www.rose-wood-jewellery.co.uk/. I made this ring just for myself. I am so happy with it, my first attempt at soldering etc.

The last thing I made myself was a dress. I’ve committed myself to make one a month for 12 months so far I’m a head of my schedule.
I also in the process of making a dress. I have to adapt the pattern a bit then work other things out but its a slow process, il get to the end of it eventually. Hopefully before summer ends.
It would be nice to see what dresses you have both made, I had a go making a dress last year and i finished it in time to wear to a wedding but i dont think I would do it again, it was harder than I thought it would be when I started, mind you it was very amusing using my boyfriend as a manikin, think the dress actually looked better on him! lou
That ring looks really, really nice.
Made this little silver rune, it means Joy, it may not look much and it’s not quite right, but getting silver wire to fuse at this scale (it measures about 1" tall) is tricky, I’ll have another go and make the top look right. should look more like the drawing on the far right, mine looks too much like a P.

I’ve recently leaned to knit socks on 4 needles, I’ve just about finished the third pair.
I always feel abit guilty when I keep something for myself, but this necklace matched a couple of new holiday outfits so I sneaked it into my jewellery box

I made myself a pair of earrings and as I can’t seem to wear silver anymore as it irritates my ears, i find rose gold plated are a cheaper alternative. I do like silver though, bit of a pain really!
B (aged 8) and I were inspired to make our own version of “The Birth of Venus”!..
