Whats in a name? Shop name change

After mulling it over for a while I have decided to change the name of my shop on Folksy.

From ChompStomp to my name AndyBlowersArt.

ChompStomp is still active on other platforms but I have found that while that name works for the monsters and critters I sell elsewhere it didn’t really fit onto Folksy or what I wanted to sell via this platform.

I’m still making and selling sculptures and figures but feel Folksy is a better home for the real animals that serve as inspiration. This may change but I feel happier in differentiating my products this way.

I’m hoping that the shop name in the web address bar changes shortly (can anyone with experience answer that) if it doesn’t i’ll have to set up again with the new name and that will be a bother.

Just checked the faq. Changing name doesn’t change shop url (thought so) and doesn’t change my user details guess Ill start again.

If you email support@folksy.com they can change your url to a new shop name for you.

have you thought of using the name Chomp Stomp as the brand name for those particular items? I changed my shop name but still refer to my items using the old name as a brand name.

I am using Chomp Stomp for other pieces on the other site. Wanted to differentiate a little bit.

Just a tip - now you’ve changed your username, your name on here no longer links to your shop. If you log out of the forums and back in again, the details should update on here too.
