Just wondering when you are all closing for the christmas holidays.
I am thinking of closing week before Christmas to try and get my house organised and opening after new year but I’m not sure. Last
year I kept my shops open but put a notice to say orders wouldnt be posted till after new year. Then I wonder if people would notice the notice!

Personnally as I will not be going away expect for odd days and people know that there’s no postage on Bank Holidays I will not be putting mine into holiday mode.
I also will not be answering any emails enquiries on the bank Holidays either.

I won’t be putting my shop on holiday mode either but I don’t expect anymore sales now. I won’t be listing anything in the new year till at least August, depends how I feel, seen as my sales have been very poor.
My sales are still happening on Facebook, I had one only this morning after putting my video on there.
I’d rather stick to somewhere that I know I can get sales.

I will probably stay open too, although I will hide my personalised stocking from this Thursday as getting them made up and in the post in time would be pushing it a bit after that…particularly if they wanted a few!

Yes, same here - probably not not going to put on holiday mode but have already ‘hidden’ all my personalised items & just doing anything that is ‘ready to post’.

All my items are ready to post and although I try to send orders out asap I set my dispatch time to 3-5 days anyway to deal with any unexpected delays and my postage details are available for people to read so I will leave my shop open over the Christmas break as I can still fulfil any orders in the time stated - whether or not items will arrive in time for Christmas I cannot guarantee, that is down to the customer to order in sufficient time!

I never close over Christmas - lots of people have time on their hands and money that they have been given and would like to spend.

This year I’ll be closing my shop next week. I’ve had a really tough few months with family illness , Im mentally drained and I’m going to go and stay with my boyfriend for a week before the week of Christmas when it’ll be family time. I’m not expecting orders, but I don’t have to stress about it if it’s closed. I’d love the extra sales but I think I’ll value the time off more.

I’ve never closed over Christmas. I would have lost out on the sale I’ve had on Christmas Day if I had done!

I will not be closing. I probably won’t be very active, will definitely keep an eye on my shop and check emails. I’ve had people shopping / emailing me after Xmas, before NY’s eve, the first few days of January and even had a sale on Xmas day. You never know!

I don’t close, I had a sale on Boxing Day a couple of years ago from someone in the USA.

I shan’t be closing though I doubt there’ll be loads of shoppers. I’ve never gone into Holiday mode though maybe that’s because we’ve not had a break (as in going away somewhere) since 1998…

I will close my shop on 19th and won’t re-open until term starts again. The 19th will be my last posting day and then I will have some well earned time off. It means that I can keep a peaceful end to advent and then enjoy time with my family.

I’m staying open over Christmas and New Year. I always post out orders as soon as the Post Office reopens. As has been mentioned, people have quite a lot of time on their hands over the holidays, so you never know…

I will keep my shop open, it’s up to customers to order in time, and it has never been a problem. In previous years I have had sales just after Christmas, but as things are so slow this year I don’t expect that will happen.
Certainly won’t be putting anyone off buying though.

quite a few of you are staying open, I will see how I feel nearer the time . I have been really busy (not here I’m afraid) and maybe a short break from it all would be a good idea! But by keeping shops open I won’t lose any much needed sales
I’ll be keeping my shop open for most of the holidays, I may put it in holiday mode for the odd day or so when I’m spending time with family, that way I won’t feel the need to check on my shop.
My shop will be open all over Christmas. I’ve never had a sale over the holidays, but you never know!
