Just a quick question for anyone who may have enough time to respond!
I am making some bags and just wondered which style might be more popular - it will make very little difference to the time taken to make/cost whichever one I go for.
Which would you choose - a flat tote style bag or a handbag style with a flat base?
I think they both look lovely. Why not do some of both if the difference in time is negligible?
Both are nice! As Helen said. Maybe do some of each.

I really like the first one but personal preference for handles long enough to put over shoulder (Sorry - your handles may be long enough, I can’t quite tell from the photo)
Decided in the end to go with the handbag style as I had already needle felted the designs with that shape in mind. I might do another batch as tote bags with longer shoulder straps though. Thanks for all the feedback.
Both lovely, but I think I’d choose a flat bottom!
I love both, but I’d go for flat bottomed, because it stands up on its own.

I would always go with a flat bottom. These are lovely.
Flat bottom I think as it gives more space inside. These are beautiful.
I like them both ,but do prefer a flat bottom . Me personally would make both

Love flat bottoms as long as you can use them as shoulder bags… love the daisys
