Wrong Trustpilot reviews not helping sales!

There are stream of bad reviews on Trustpilot reviews for Folksy (two and a half stars at the moment!) Over the Christmas period , there have been a lot of bad reviews for Folksy for a company called ‘joyusandfolksy’ that sell doormats. Some sellers on Folksy have pointed out on there that this shop is nothing to do with Folksy.co.uk but I wondered if there was anything that the Folksy team could do about this and contact Trustpilot to get them removed? - as the reviews are not for Folksy and with headings like ‘avoid like the plague’ will not be doing us as sellers any favours!

That’s not good. I’ve gone on and reported one of them back to Trustpilot, however it doesn’t let you free type to say what the issue is so I’ve also also left a review spelling it out to support the one already there. They claim that if you flag one they review all the freedback and take action as necessary but I wouldn’t be confident that’ll happen quickly.

I agree would be good if @Folksyadmin could also raise the issue with Trustpilot in the hope they take notice .Folksy Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of folksy.co.uk

Other option In the meantime would be for more of us sellers to also flag the issue on Trustpilot and leave good feedback to outweigh the bad - people power!

I’ve just written a 5* review but it appears that Folksy haven’t actually claimed their trustpilot profile yet. If they do, I assume they can add the Folksy logo and that may help to sort out the misidentification as that other company.

I’ve just left my third review to try to bump up our star rating. Fingers crossed that the other company won’t be around for very long.

Even after everything that has been written, someone has come along with a bad review about their doormat!

If anyone else is reading this and has got a few minutes to spare, pop over to the link at the top and leave a review (if you are happy with your experiences here of course!) - it affects us all as sellers if potential customers are put off from buying here!

Hi Everyone

I have done my review because I have genuinely being pleased with all of my purchases from other Folksy seller’s and as a seller myself these atrocious misleading reviews relating to doormats could do us all a lot a harm! We don’t wany to be ‘tared with the same brush’.

I am sure the powers that be at Folksy.com will be dealing with it now it has been brought to their attention.

If you wanted to start adding reviews here, that would be brilliant!

We’re also speaking to the Trustpilot support to see if there is anything we can do to have the doormat reviews removed from the folksy.co.uk profile. Let’s see what they say.

I think it’s brilliant how everyone has rallied and left such lovely reviews on our new Trustpilot page. As I haven’t really got time to do a Folksy Friday today, I have just posted this instead

That’s fine Sarah, I was chuffed when I saw you had shared it. I was a bit worried as I didn’t want it to look like we are begging for good reviews, at the same time I want people to know about it!

That’s great news, hopefully they’ll get the rogue rug seller sorted out. Funny thing is I got a message last night to say they’d removed my review - which was a message asking them to fix it - hopefully they’ll be as quick fixing the rest :grinning:

I’ll do the same if that’s ok,… provided I can work out how that is. What a great way to get get the message out :grinning:
