Folksy FAcebook Review PAge

Folksy Please please please wiill you do something about the Revew section on your Facebook page

It is Not a good look either for you Folksy as a site or for us sellers (your customers)…

I did comment on there 23 weeks ago but can see it is still totally unattended.
I thought to look again given that your latest FB post is about Reviews.

It is a 1 minute job to turn reviews off if you don’t have time to remove the spam or respond to the occasional real one.

Goodness, that does look bad.
I wonder if anyone with unrequited love issues will actually contact Dr. Emu? It’s amusing on one level but this rubbish really does need to be removed.

I saw the herpes one, had a chuckle but those ones about love and also about making hundreds of $, seriously, they need to be removed. I’m back here after several years over on the dark side and I am expecting a much better experience and service than this. Its not rocket science and takes someone 10 minutes a day to check in to FB and remove unwanted rubbish like this.

Eeek!!! :flushed: That really doesn’t look good. A couple of them would be really funny, but not when they’re making the site look bad

It’s not possible to remove select reviews from Facebook (or the review system wouldn’t work - companies would just remove any negative ones). It’s a choice between allowing reviews and reporting any such as those to Facebook (which has already been done but Facebook aren’t always good at removing spam) or completely turn them off, which would lose the 4.5 score and real reviews which can help give potential customers trust in the site.

It may help if more people can also report these reviews as spam, as if they’re receiving more flags it might make Facebook more likely to act, or if more genuine reviews that are actually about the site are left so they’re in the minority.

Kim It says there are 33 reviews . Has anyone looked what makes up that total ?

I have:
9 spam
12 good reviews including one just left by Helen above
3 dreadful reviews (2 from sellers)

Is that really a record you need to keep visible because that would not infuse me with any confidence or trust whatsoever . especially as it appears that nobody at Folksy bothers to read them anyway …noting that there has not been any response to any of the reviews, good or bad for the last 2 years.
4.5 is not exactly a figure to aim for ! That means 0.5 are not happy .
Sorry but I really do think that you need to do something about this. It all looks just so ‘sloppy’ somehow.

I think the worse thing is all the terrible reviews are one after the other and first to read. As there have been so few reviews I would be inclined to turn the option off rather than have them showing, however, alternatively we could leave our own reviews which will push the earlier scam ones to the bottom of the pile and hopefully make the score higher. I will pop over and post one

I’ve only just been onto the Folksy facebook page as I am trying to resuscitate my own facebook account as part of trying to get some stock moving again. I was about to raise it and did a search in the forums before doing so and found this. @folksycontent @Folksyadmin is there really nothing a legitimate business can do about removing those spam ones???

No, all that can be done is to report them to Facebook, which has been done multiple times for all of the ones currently there, but unfortunately Facebook don’t appear to do anything about them.

Wow - that’s really poor. I’ll report them as well - at least with comments you can delete them as page owner; I don’t think I’d want to put my reputation at risk by enabling the review function on my own page so I won’t be doing that any time soon… :flushed:
