May be going either more senile or extra short sighted but though a 12 day of Christmas Day 2 Folksy IG / FB post has appeared today I can’t for the life of me find Day 1. ?
It was on Instagram and Facebook yesterday. It was a post with photos of all of the Folksy team.x
How very odd. Must have been a very short day as never there when I looked . This is the IG grid today
The only other one I saw yesterday was a repeat of the one on the left row 3.

A bit silly to have it there but not on the other page. Glad that I wasnt going totally dolally anyway.
I would assume it’s got to do with the term “target audience”. Don’t know a lot about it, bit clueless really on marketing as it is quite obvious from my own social media

Yes now that I’ve looked again it was posted to the Folksy Sellers page rather than the main one.

I saw a post advertising the Folksy 12 days of Christmas. I saw that day 2, today, is sometjing about showing a decoration and saying why it is special. What I don’t know, and I am totally un-techy, is where you post this information! Do you just do a post in the Folksy Clubhouse group? I need it spelt out step by step!
I saw day 1 was said to be about makers. A post did come up on my feed about a Folksy maker. Just one. Does that mean she was the only person that did it? Or did FB decide I only needed to see one? But most important of all, what/ how do you do to take part in this 12 day of Christmas thing?
You dont take part. The Folksy social media posts are all curated by them using their own chosen content.
The blog clearly talks about “ taking part”, and invites you to “post each day”. But then only talks about Instagram, and not Facebook, yet it is on facebook too! But where on Facebook do you post? And do you have to do all 12, or can you dip in and out. I know I dont really understand social media, so these things need explaining!
Think of it as a list of ideas for creating posts for your social media.
Whatever social media you are on, it is really down to you where you will post.
Yesterday’s post was about introducing yourself basically to your followers. If the post you saw was from Folksy, then it might be that it was the only one that was chosen by them to share, or the only one that had the right tags so it was seen and shared by folksy, or it could even be the algorithm bringing this post on your feed. If the post you saw was from a page you follow, then it could be because not all of those you follow did it, and from those who did, not all were chosen by the algorithm as worthy to be shown to you, or you might have interacted with the specific page a bit more, so their posts are reaching your feed.
If you want to participate, you just make a post in the same way you do all your other posts, it is the subject you need to follow. You can use the tags mentioned in the blogpost, but it is down to folksy if they will share your post, there is no guarantee of course. You don’t HAVE to do all 12, you do as you feel comfortable, it is your page, your followers and your work, so it needs to suit you. It is purely a list of prompts that might help your presence on social media.

Been waiting there unanswered for 4 hours. Not a good look.
Probably a lost sale now.
