Hi Brenda,

Lovely seascape. I haven’t created anything this week so far as I’ve been busy printing cards for C… but hopefully I will be soon.

Great work everyone…keep them coming to keep this thread active ! zx

Good work all.
I’m hoping to finish another painting by the weekend. I’ve got my work cut out replenishing at the moment. Between Folksy and the steam fair I attended at the weekend I’ve shifted five original paintings, several prints and £40 worth of cards, all in the space of a week.
This time next year, Rodney, we’ll be millionaires, as Del Boy used to say…

Good evening all
Just thought I’d stop by after making my way through the daily challenge!
@ChrisStoneArtist That’s great Chris, glad you did well at the steam fair x @HelenCliffordArt I Love the duck mosaic Helen, is it painted or have you added the tiles? @DaisyWings Beautiful card Tina, saw some sunflowers today while out on a walk. @teabreaks Love the seascape aceo Brenda, so many sailboats about in Ryde at the moment, Cowes Week will see more on the Horizon!
Thought I’d list my new illustration print entitled; Time and Reflection

Have a good weekend all

The duck is a coloured pencil drawing, just 5 x 7 inches. I outlined the ‘mosaic’ tiles in fineliner before colouring them. It was a play project - ‘how many ways can I draw/paint this duck?’. I ended up with scribble drawings, a watercolour, this version, and a lino cut! I like doing this as way to have fun without the pressure of ‘doing a Proper Drawing’, and sometimes one of the options turns out really well.

@teabreaks The picture is a few posts above  and looks great! Definitely an idea that turned out well. @HelenCliffordArt The colours you picked for the tiles really complement the duck.

The watercolour version’s more traditional

It is really interesting seeing both versions, I love how the mosaic duck almost appears as thought it is being lifted off the page, and as Kim said, the colours work really well.
It is always good to experiment, sometimes it’s too easy to concentrate so much on a piece that you can forget to have fun x

Thank you! It did suprise me how it looks to be ‘standing out of’ the mosaic - just happened…

I’m a great believer in Play and how much you can learn from it.

I think I’m going over to the dark-side, I’m doing a lot more abstract work.
Made it Home, semi-abstract seascape. Watercolour.

Great work Graham…I am on the dark side too but Folksy is much nicer (albeit slower)
