Hi all,
I’ve received a wholesale order from a lovely bricks and mortar shop owner who wants to buy some of my Xmas decorations.
I’m currently making the extras I need to make up the order, but in the meantime I am wondering about postal options.
Package won’t be heavy, less than 500g, but it will be a small packet size. The overall value is £100, so ideally I’d like to cover that.
Is RM Special Delivery the best option? What do you jewellers that make beautiful jewellery do when you have a high value item to post? I know I could just send it first class signed for, but knowing my luck it would get lost!
I would recommend Parcelforce.
They automatically insure up to £100, are fully trackable and deliver really quickly.
They are also good value for money, much cheaper to buy online than at the post office and the very generous parcel sizes mean you can double box and not skimp on packaging.
(I really don’t work for Parcelforce, just very impressed with their service!)

I’d recommend sending it Royal Mail next day special delivery. I definitely wouldn’t send it just ‘signed for’. I also wouldn’t recommend sending it Parcelforce, sorry : /
I use special delivery most of the time, occasionally I gamble when sending to galleries as some places the postman delivers before shop opening hours , so no one is there to sign. It is a risk though. Thankfully Royal Mail is pretty reliable. I will have to look into Parcelforce, have never used them.
Great, thank you ladies! It looks like I’ll stick with Special Delivery then!
