CALL OUT: Want to be in our Christmas 2021 Campaign?

We’re making a film for Christmas and would love you to be in it. We’ve attached the brief below - any questions, just ask!

It will look a little something like this film but probably square Making Christmas 2020 - YouTube - so if you film it in portrait or landscape mode please try to centre your hands in the middle of the screen so we can still see them when we crop it

Brief:

We’re looking for videos of your hands, making or wrapping pieces you’ve made, which we can edit together into a short film encouraging people to shop handmade this Christmas.

If you’d like to feature in the film, please send us:

  • a high-quality video around 15 seconds long (you can send us more than one!)
  • showing your hands making or wrapping a present (ideally with hands centred in the middle of the screen)
  • all videos needs to be the best quality possible

Send your films by WeTransfer to community@folksy.co.uk by Google Drive or email us a Dropbox link - don’t forget to include the name of your Folksy shop in your message!

DEADLINE: MONDAY 11th OCTOBER

We can’t promise every film will be included, but we’ll feature as many Folksy sellers as possible. Everyone in the film will also get a mention on our blog, newsletter and in a dedicated gift guide.

This made me smile … cannot really imagine my little pudgy fingers, which are usually covered in paint on the film. My son has beautifully long elegant hands, unlike me! My fingers are like sausages and because I’m usually in the studio, I am usually mucky LOL.

Same here - I have constantly broken mails due to gardening, and paint splashes everywhere lol! I often have to retake product photos where I’m holding items as I hadn’t realised I still have dirt under my nails or a paint splodge etc lol!

Sadly, my hands are not what they used to be. :sleepy: :joy:
