Can any of the regulars here critique my new shop please

Sorry but I wasn’t using sarcasm one little bit and if you knew any thing about me you’d know that.

I hope you are aware that these forums are in fact public and therefore open to buyers and sellers alike to see.

I got all excited by the thought of finding something I might like to buy from a fellow Sellers shop but was then disappointed when the items turned out to not be quite what I first hoped it to be.

I was trying to be helpful with some advice but never mind.

Eileen, if you had paid attention and read the description you would have saved yourself the disappointment and humiliation.

The colour is detailed in the description and that is the whole purpose of the description.

Surely you do not buy based on the title alone do you!?

No humiliation and you do need to put the relevant details in the titles as they and your photo’s are like your shop’s front window as they are the first things a potential customer will see. They are what first grabs a potential customers attention.

Be aware most potential customers will look at titles and photo’s first and many especially those on mobile devices will not look for descriptions. So for best results go for titles that give accurate details.
Potential buyers will not expect to see one thing stated in the title only to then to read a description to see that item description was not correct.

Now we all make mistakes and realize we have missed something out so when someone lets you know you’ve left something out when you’ve asked for advice. You can either ignore that advice if you don’t feel it’s correct or heed that advice.

We all try hard here to help each other out with advice. You don’t have to accept it but you don’t have to be rude.

Rude, excuse me. It was you who was sarcastic and rude.

Anyway, instead of wasting each others time on here I think you are the minority and should spend a lot of your time addressing the false advertising issues with your creations and I need to get to bed.

Have fun and goodnight.

I thought that you might like to learn from mistakes that I made about clarity in listings when I made my comments yesterday. If I knew what I know now when I was starting out I wouldn’t have perpetuated issues from my older listings (like my silver dino) to my newer listings but now I find myself in the position where I have 300+ listing that I need to review the text of, add tags to and in some cases re do the photographs for. This is a job which I anticipate will take me the best part of a week but due to commissions, summer shows and other work commitments I simply don’t have time to do that now. Hopefully during the summer shows (based on last year’s performance) I’ll manage to sell 30-40 % of my stock which will leave me with far fewer listings requiring editing. I see that you have now clarified your listings to specify that they are silver plate, this is something that should be highlighted as it will make you stand out as a better product than some of the similarly priced ones and I bet it didn’t take you as long to edit the few listings that needed it compared to how long its going to take me.
Sorry if yesterdays exchanges got a bit tense I was just trying to be helpful with what I have learnt over the years.
Sasha

No problem at all Sasha and I mean that sincerely.

Yesterday, I simply found some of your comments like “the pot calling the kettle black” but as you have noticed I have taken your comments on board and I hope my listings now meet your approval.

I understand your point about finding the time and in your case it will be a very long job to revise the majority of your listings to reflect their real description.

Regardless, it is something that needs doing and I am glad I have set off on the right footing (or so it seems judging by the majority of the comments on this thread and the action taken).

Thanks and I hope you find the time to do what is needed.
