I will be closing on 20th December to allow delivery by Christmas, and to give myself some family time. I deserve a Christmas too 
Then I can re-open afterwards looking forward to a New Year. (I don’t want to jinx it, but January usually has a nice trickle of sales, especially custom order requests)
I will be staying open over the christmas period…and also reducing some of my items ready for January sales… as Louisa15 said people will have money they have received over the holidays so may be shopping

I really wish I could Ali. Something like that would take a while to implement though as there would be a lot of code to write. Could you extend your lead times for a few of your most popular items and hide the others so your shop stays open?
